We recently added as well apartments in the modern part of San Juan for you to visit and enjoy the 'beach front' lifestyle of Puerto Rico and two 'hidden get a ways' around the Island.
Our place in Old San Juan was amazing--exactly as the pictures showed it. It's in a perfect location, near a supermarket that's open late and quite a few great restaurants and bars (El Jibarito and La Factoría were a couple of our favorites). Not to mention only a block away from the water. The private courtyard with gorgeous plants and hammocks was a dream. Irma was lovely, she and her son made our late check-in so easy, and she was readily available to answer any questions we had. The apartment had plenty of space for five people, and the kitchen was well stocked for when we wanted to cook in. We would definitely stay here again, thanks Annett and Andrés!!
This apartment was just as the photos show. It is charming and comfortable as is all of Old San Juan. The ceiling in the front room is about 15 feet high and gives the entire space authentic charm. Being 1 block from the ocean walkway was great and we walked everywhere easily. The Vida Urbana staff could not have been better to work with. My flight was cancelled on my way to San Juan and I had to change my arrival time to much later at night. It was no problem and I was shown around the apartment. Highly recommend this apartment and the Vida Urbana team.
This location was great. We were around everything from markets to well-known restaurants. I went with four people and the property was so spacious. It had a kitchen with utensils and it was really clean. I was more than pleased with our stay. Great customer service, would definitely book this listing again when I go back to Puerto Rico.
The owner was very easy to work with and has a video of the place on her website so listing was very accurate. Ktichen is very well stocked and the A/C in the bedrooms worked well. This is a great location since you are close to the all the sights, but not on a busy street, and close to one of the best resturants in San Jaun. We enjoyed staying hear and look forward to returning.
Great location. At top of the hill in OSJ. Easy walk to two great restaurants - St Germain and El Jibraito. Forts also in easy walking distance. Market a few blocks away. Place itself was just great. Kitchen is modestly equipped, this is not the place for 4 course cooking. AC and fans provided plenty of cooling.
I traveled to Puerto Rico with a family member. As we were going to be staying in San Juan for a week, this was the perfect location and apartment for us. Being in the historic area of town, we were able to avoid the resort-like, phony feel other areas. It is located a block or so away from the fort and ocean and is near some great neighborhood restaurants. We felt part of the neighborhood for the week and got a real feel for San Juan.
The apartment itself was larger than I expected with a sufficient kitchen, a washer/dryer, and a nice enclosed patio. The unit was also very clean. Although each of the 2 bedrooms has a functioning window unit air conditioner, there is no central a/c. The living room and kitchen areas could get quite warm during the daytime but the ceiling fan and oscillating fan provided kept it comfortable during our stay. This is not a luxurious apartment unit. It could probably use some updating, so if you're looking to stay in the lap of luxury, maybe this is not the right choice for you. If, on the other hand, you're wanting a clean private apartment in the perfect location, this unit could be a great choice.
The apartment is in the best location, central to everything and easy walking.
We felt at home and quite comfortable. Everything was clean and bright. The manager provided great customer service at all times during our stay. We enjoyed many of the recommendations on the list provided; especially Cialitos for their fresh coffee, island grown by the owner and beans are ground on the spot for best coffee in Old San Juan. We also appreciated the fact that we were in a real neighborhood filled with local life and color. Las Palmas is just down the street near the ocean and was consistently festive with music, lights and dancing. There are other local eateries nearby. We would definitely return to 308 calle sol, and recommend highly to anyone wanting a real Old San Juan experience.
