Located on a quiet, tree lined residential street you are only minutes from the activities of downtown and Lake Coeur d'Alene. In ten minutes you can take a quiet nature walk along Tubbs Hill which overlooks the lake.
You are only 5 blocks from fine dining, browsing antiques or sipping coffee at the local coffee shops. If golfing is in your plans the renowned CDA Golf Course is a few minutes drive away. St. Thomas Catholic Church is just a two block stroll. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood away from busy traffic.
The interior is elegantly appointed with fine European antique furniture. The original hardwood floors have been refinished to reveal the original craftsmanship of the 30's. Fire up the gas fireplace with a push of the remote and enjoy HDTV on the plasma located above the mantel.
Sleeping for up to six persons is available. The master bedroom has a king bed, the guest bedroom has two extra long twin beds. The main floor has a pull-out sofa that is located in front of the fire place and the lower level is a trundle bed. There are full baths upstairs and in the basement. All beds are top-of-the-line Serta for that perfect night sleep. Luxury linen and bath towels are also provided.
The kitchen is equipped with the latest state of the art appliances and is fully equipped to meet your every culinary need.
The character of this home has been maintained with a touch of modern technology. Full audio control is located in each room via keypads to select your choice of Satellite XM radio, HDTV, or bring your Ipod to listen to your own music. A HD plasma in the living room is revealed behind art with a push of a remote control. Another HD plasma is in the master bedroom. High speed internet access is available in every room via wireless or direct connection. Watch or record HDTV using Dish Networks latest Vip622 HD receiver. An XBox game console is available for the kids or anyone who wants a good challange.

Our cottage on 8th Street is really special. We spent 14 months remodeling the home both inside and out. Previous owners dating back decades would drop by and introduce themselves and tell of great stories of raising their children in this home. They very much appreciated the improvements that we made.
Of course the location is perfect. The home is on a quiet street but only 3 blocks from Sherman Avenue where all the stores, coffee shops, and restaurants are located.
From our cottage our guests love to take leisurely walks into town. No need for a car. Tubbs Hill nature walk is a really popular activity. Our home is fully fenced in and you have privacy in the back yard while cooking on our grill. Everyone really enjoys the home audio system. Mom can soak in the claw foot tub listening to Mozart while Dad is in the kitchen listening to 80’s rock while cooking for the family.
The house was a perfect "home away from home" to celebrate the Easter weekend. The three of us were very cozy, enjoyed the hideaway TV, the well appointed kitchen, and the soft beds. The location made it easy to enjoy the shops and other businesses close by - maybe a bit too close to Zips where we enjoyed 3 large milkshakes for desserts one evening. I've rented a number of VRBO homes/apartments in the U.S. and Europe over the years and the 8th Street house was without question the best VRBO rental I've stayed in!! If I could have given the rental more than 5 stars I would have. The pictures on the web don't do the house justice. Four bicycling women friends stayed at the house for three nights and we had ample space and enjoyed the ambiance that both the house and the neighborhood had to offer. The front porch was a favorite place to be early in the morning before bike rides and in the evening after dinner. I was impressed that the owner called me shortly after doing the walk through with the property manager to make sure everything was o.k. and he called me again a few days after our stay to make sure that our stay had lived up to expectations. I would recommend this property again and again!! One more thing.........if you are spending time on the beach there are like new beach chairs and umbrellas as well as beach toys for the kids!!!
We loved the house on Ash St. It was beautifully maintained, clean and well stocked, They thought of everything to make our stay exactly what we needed. We could walk to the lake and it was close enough to town yet quiet and away from the busy tourists on a holiday weekend. Thanks!
My wife and I spent seven nights in this wonderful "Hansel and Gretl" cottage. Congatulations to the owners for remodeling a nice little place into our favorite vacation home EVER! They have thought of everything that guests would need so all the five star reviews are well deserved. We look forward to our next visit and spending our evenings out on that quiet and comfortable porch.
My husband and I spent a week in this lovely home. It is very close to the downtown of
Coeur D' Alene and we either walked to town or rode the bicycles we rented from the bike shop in town. We attended the catholic church which is a block away from the house - you can see the steeple from the house. This home is decorated beautifully and has so much room. The owners took much pride and thought into every detail. (The house was very clean when we arrived.) We read on the front porch and ate meals on the back porch while grilling out. (we did walk to town for some meals.) We used the beach chairs and beach towels that were provided. The house has a security alarm which we used, even though we felt it was a safe neighborhood. We would strongly recommend this home for a couple, maybe two couples, or a family of 3 or 4. Enjoy!

We stayed at the 8th street house in August of 2014, can't say how much we enjoyed the home, especially the relaxing front porch. Not much traffic on the street and a quick 10 minute walk downtown. Inside the house is top notch with very nice amenities. Looking forward to staying there again and taking a notch off the stress meter. Cheers
Our home is located very near the Coeur d' Alene Golf Course with it's famous floating green. There are 10 more course within easy driving from our home.

You can decide to purchase Cancellation Protection or Damage Protection. The reservation/damage deposit will be processed separately by the owner. The credit card information provided using Book It is not shared with the owner and must also be provided on the final rental agreement that you will receive later. The credit card will only be used to process the deposit and not the rental fee. Once the Book It is accepted by the owner the booking is tentatively confirmed. Final confirmation will be provided once a signed copy of the rental agreement is received. There is a 7 day window to return the rental agreement.
