About Linda Hobbs

Linda & I were raised in South Florida with all the sunshine & greenery! We have 4 sons & 10 grandchildren and we love taking our grandkids to Paradise View. We love to travel & that is why we bought Paradise View. It gives us the ability to travel and yet have our own paradise in the mountains.

Linda Hobbs purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Linda Hobbs chose Pigeon Forge

We vacationed many times in the Smokey Mountains - we love the variety, the color, the mountains as God's beautiful tapestry. So in November 2005 we found Paradise View and fell in love with it & now it is ours & yours to share!!

What makes this cabin unique

Paradise View is just far enough in the mountains to be secluded - but close enough to all the activity and attractions of Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg! The magnificent 7 mountain range panoramic view from our wrap around deck is one of our favorites. We love to sightsee in the Smokey Mountain National Park, tube the rivers, enjoy the theatres & shows and explore nature.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Linda,

It was awesome. We had an amazing time. Your view was beyond expectations. We loved the cabin, enjoyed all of your amenities, especially the hot tub. We’ve decided that when we come back to the Gatlinburg area we’re definitely staying at your place. It was tremendous.

Thanks,

Wes

Mystical View

  • 5 of 5
We had high expectations due to the owner's photos and descriptions of the property in addition to the positive reviews. Upon entering the cabin our highest expectations were surpassed. There truly is no way to describe the panoramic view nor will any photo do it justice. It was simply breathtaking and had a mystical look and feel that was ever changing. We were even able to enjoy watching a rain storm blow through without having to leave the deck. That's experiencing nature at its finest.

The cabin was spotless and the decor was exquisite - certainly qualifies as a luxury cabin experience. The owner's attention to detail was obvious everywhere. Incredibly comfortable beds. The owners were great to deal with and made renting the cabin an enjoyable experience.

The cabin's location is in close proximity to many tourist attractions, shopping outlets, restaurants and Smokey Mountain National Park -making it very convenient. However, once on the deck of the cabin, the peace and tranquility leaves you feeling as though you had driven miles into the wilderness.

We highly recommend the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail - it was not that far from the cabin and much less crowded than other park areas. Beautiful rushing mountain streams, diverse forest, hiking trails and historic sites.

We will most definitely be back!

Breathtaking View

  • 4 of 5
Paradise View is a beautiful cabin with a breathtaking view. The location and the layout of the cabin was perfect for our family. Everyone had their own space and the cabin seemed private, while not being too far away from the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge attractions. The owners were wonderful to work with. They provided us with the information that we needed to plan a lovely vacation in the Smokey Mountains. Thank you Ken and Linda for sharing Paradise View!

Most beautiful place in Pigeon Forge!!

  • 5 of 5
This place was unbelievable. The views were breathtaking. The location couldn't have been any better. The cabin was nice and roomy. We spent most of our time on the deck. Just couldn't get enough of the view. Such a beautiful place. The owners called to see if everything was okay. Had a minor problem with the lock on the door but help came and was all fixed within an hour. Miss Linda was very kind and helpful. I don't think there is another cabin that could give you everything this one has. Pigeon Forge has so much to do all within short distance of the cabin.

Awesome vacation experience!

  • 5 of 5
We have been vacationing in the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge area for the past 26 years, and this is the first time we've actually stayed in Pigeon Forge. It was fabulous!

The cabin has to have one of the best views in the area. Even on the days we had rain and low clouds, the view was amazing. We spent a lot of time on the porches enjoying the view from the rockers and hot tub.

Our party consisted of 5 adults, ages 23-52, so having 3 bedrooms/baths, each on separate floors was greatly appreciated. We could all be together or have our own space. I can't think of anything that was missing, and everything was in good working order. We did have about a 12-15 hour period without water - but that was due to a severe thunderstorm that knocked out the pump station at the foot of the hill. Linda stayed in constant contact with us, keeping us updated on the situation, and all was resolved in a timely manner.

It only took a few minutes to reach the cabin from the parkway - and the directions provided were easy to follow. Once you turn onto Mountain View Ct., the road is steep and narrow, so you need to use caution and watch for oncoming vehicles. The trees/bushes on the right side of the road were overgrown a bit and obstructed part of the road (probably due to all of the recent rain), so I'm sure the HOA will get those trimmed back, which will help.

There is a nice paved drive next to the cabin. We found the easiest way to maneuver the vehicles was to pull straight in, then when ready to leave, back the car straight out and go UP the hill (rather than back down the way we came), and follow the road out to the man road (it comes out just down from where you enter Mountain View).

We loved having easy access to restaurants and activities!

Some places we ate: Big Daddy's, Hitman Pizza, Smoky Mountain Brewery, Tradewood Grill, Dick's Last Resort.

Some of the things we did: climbed to the top of Clingman's Dome, went ziplining at Smoky Mountain Ziplines, shopped at the outlet mall in Sevierville, wandered around downtown Gatlinburg, did the moonshine tastings at Smoky Mountain Moonshine & Sugarlands, had old time photos taken at Wild Gals Old Time Photo, and visited The Island in Pigeon Forge.

We had a wonderful vacation and really enjoyed staying at Paradise View. I'm sure we'll be back! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home!

Owner's Response: Kim and Paul;

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us your comments. We love to hear from our guests. We do try very hard to be in contact with our guests. We don't want to leave them hanging should something unexpected go wrong like the bad thunderstorm knocking out the pump house. We have a very good home owners association president that also owns 4 cabins on our mountain and she definitely gets things done as soon as possible. We love Pigeon Forge for all the activities and things to do. Please spread the word about "Paradise View" to your family and friends. Our business is a referral business. Linda

True Paradise

  • 5 of 5
We stayed here just for two nights and it was an amazing experience. We reached late evening and didn't face any problems of road connectivity. The view from deck was awesome as clouds were floating in the hills. Owner has taken care of even a very small items such as utensils, spoons, knives, openers, glasses, bowls, various cutters etc. Kids including elders enjoyed air hockey and pool table. Jacuzzi could give us relief when we were tired a lot. The place was very peaceful and we didn't face any problems due to neighboring cabins. All the people from our group liked this cabin very much and all of us had wonderful time. Town was just 3 miles away from cabin so we could easily roam around in town for food and snacks. Overall I didn't feel any problem in the cabin. Dear owner, there is a small thing I would like to share. Please share some more photos as the cabin has much more than what you have in the photos. A small problem I would like share. There is a table tennis in games room and it should be little separated from Wall. I would definitely recommend this cabin to everyone.

Absolutely Amazing!!

  • 5 of 5
This cabin is amazing. The pictures on the site do not do it justice, but our favorite thing about it was definitely the views. Incredible! Words do not do it justice. We spent most of our time on the top deck, but the view of the mountains from the bottom deck is also gorgeous. The cabin was clean, cute and huge. Linda was fantastic throughout the rental process, answering all our questions and making us feel comfortable about our decision. We were thrilled when we arrived at the cabin and saw the beauty first-hand, and the stay was relatively seamless. We went with a group of 7 ladies, and were planning on spending the majority of our time at the cabin, relaxing, cooking and spending time together. However, when we did get settled in, there were a few key items that weren’t supplied to us – trash bags, bath mats, hand soap in the bathrooms, etc. We did have to purchase these ourselves, which was slightly inconvenient. Basic kitchen supplies were also missing – things like salt & pepper, spices, condiments, baking trays, and any sharp kitchen knives for cutting and cooking. While this only really applies to guests who are planning on cooking the majority (or all) of their meals at the cabin, we did feel this was important to point out. We also quickly realized that there were not enough towels for 7 people to use, so we reached out to Linda to ask for more. When we came back later that same day from our hike, there was a huge bag of clean towels waiting for us! So terrific!

Overall, the stay was absolutely amazing and we had a great time at the cabin and doing outdoor activities around town. We would definitely recommend the cabin to anyone and hope to come back soon!

Owner's Response: Alexis:
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your comment on our cabin. We love to hear from our guests, both the good and the bad. Our cleaners only supply a starter supply of soap and trash bags. It is up to the guests to bring there own or purchase them from the near by store if there are enough guests that the supply for overnight does not meet the demand. We also leave 4 towels in each bathroom and if more than this is needed, then the guests need to wash and dry them in the washer and dryer provided. There are baking sheets etc, in the bottom drawer of the stove. I am at the cabin every 3 months and try to make sure that everything needed is supplied however everyone's needs are different. I did tell Emily what was supplied at the cabin on our first conversation. All in all I am happy you enjoyed your stay at "Paradise View". Linda Hobbs, Owner
