As anyone knows living on the east coast (nj/ny) and having to deal with delays/cancellations in airports the flexiablity and understanding from the Nita, the owner, was greatly appreciated....
Finally after arriving a day late we were very happy to arrive to a clean, efficent, and well organized place. I use these words because there were 3 of us staying in the room. The decor was very calming and all the amenties stated were in fact available to us. The accomodations were very comfortable (though my friend had 10 pairs of shoes taking up the place-LOL)
Having to be in constant contact with Nita, because of the flight cancellations, was easy and she was always there to help us. Please keep in mind there were no problems with the unit or any other specifications in relation to the rental or the renting process. It was all about the airlines.
Due to the fact that we arrived a day late we inquired to Nita about staying an extra day. Since the unit was open the next 2 days Nita gladly set up our accomodations for our extra night without any hesitation.
It was wonderful to work with her and I will gladly recommend her unit to others.
The unit was located in the Ala Moana Hotel, which is adjacent to the Ala Moana Mall- i recommend going to Mai-Tai's Bar and Grill which is a short walk to the 4th floor of the mall. We did have a car, but it is not necessary. There are buses and trolley service all over, including from the mall. A few other places Tiki's, seafood restaurant- Compadres (for taco tuesday) - $1.00 movies- Giovanni's shrimp truck (need a car)- Red Lion (Waikiki/University)- Bubbies' Ice Cream- Ala Moana Park
The only thing that was VERY aggravating is the hotel's business center- if you need to get work done, print (anything), or even get onto a website to look something up- DONT BOTHER - THE COMPUTERS TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT WORK. Within our 3 day stay, we had to complain 5 times which evenually got out $ back. Keep in mind that they credit the computer so when they do that, you must get on the computer at that time. The direct service line to the help desk does not work. There is FREE INTERNET AVAILABLE IN NITA'S UNIT, if you bring your computer with you.
