Perfect Apartment in an Awesome Location
My husband and I absolutely loved this apartment. It is bigger and better decorated than in the pictures. The furniture and art is more up to date and it had everything we needed. We really appreciated the free wifi and washer that was available. We had been traveling for 2 weeks before arriving in Paris, so it was time to do some laundry. The packet that Jean-Claude provided had absolutely everything you needed to know about the apartment and even good restaurant recommendations. Pay close attention to the map that tells you where to scan the key fob to enter into the building. I especially liked the handy French and English dictionary from the bookshelf that I used throughout the trip so I could order meals with confidence. :) We definitely got the "local" experience living there because it wasn't very touristy at all, although very close to the Metro. The bakery across the street was a daily stop for us in the mornings. Everything was delicious there. We thoroughly enjoyed the food at Le Cosmos (close to the apartment) and Cafe Med (St. Louis- 4th Arrondissement). For all the Rick Steves' fans, if it already hasn't walked off, we left a Paris book on the bookshelf that was very handy throughout our visit. Also, we HIGHLY recommend buying the museum pass at a less crowded museum (we bought ours at the Pantheon), which saves you tons of time and money. We skipped the lines at the Louvre and Orsay and walked right in. In conclusion, the apartment was in a wonderful area and at a great price with the owner being very accommodating and helpful. Enjoy Paris!!
