We are just north of San Pedro, the island's only town and a brief water taxi, bicycle or golf cart ride from our resort, Our 48 suites sit right on a white, sandy beach with units positioned for dramatic views of the Caribbean and offshore barrier reef. Our 'pool' is, in fact, an entire pool environment -- an award-winning fresh-water swimming pool w/a hot tub, a swim-up and sit-down pool bar serving exotic tropical drinks, a great local beer, snacks and room service. Our on-site restaurant, w/ dramatic 360-degree views of the Caribbean and island lagoon, serves three meals a day; rental bicycles & golf carts are available; complimentary kayaks; a beach volleyball court, basketball court and private tennis court, all for free play; an Activities Center on our private dock, for guest pickups by guides, and to swim from in calm Caribbean waters; a shop for necessities; free wired + wi-fi internet; laundry service. Access also to some amenities at neighboring Coco Beach Resort.

Booking Process: Booking can be accomplished by completing the 'book now' form, on our website. Bookings by phone are also invited. Please contact us for possible rate changes or discounts, directions for online booking and our cancellation policies. Confirmations are immediate, followed by considerable emailed information to help travelers prepare for their trip and optimize their time on the island.

Activities and Attractions : The list of possible excursions is long and diverse -- on the island; 500 yards out into the sea at the world's second largest barrier reef (e.g., snorkel, dive, swim with sharks); and on the mainland -- cave tubing/ziplining/Mayan Ruin explorations, etc. Detailed information on the excursions most in demand is provided upon booking. All depart from the staffed Activities Center on our dock. Excursion satisfaction is guaranteed by our Tour organization.

Getting To Our Resort: As a courtesy, we book our guests' connecting flights from Belize International to San Pedro on the island; meet our guests at the San Pedro airport and, at our cost (roundtrip), bring them to the resort on our own boat, where they are welcomed at our private dock, helped with their luggage, and escorted to their unit. .

Nearest Beach : beach

We are 3.5 miles north of San Pedro. Some guests worry about that distance, yet access to San Pedro is easy, just a fun 10-minute ride by water taxi, 20 by bicycle (we have a fleet of them) or by golf cart, available for rental on site at a modest cost. Further, the competition for your time will be considerable, and our experience suggests that you will choose to be in town only once or twice during your stay. North of town, where we are located, is unarguably where the best beaches are, where the shorefront restaurants are many and exceptional; and where the resorts are further apart than they are south of town, providing a degree of privacy and exclusivity our guests greatly enjoy. Nor is there much foot traffic along the beaches or noise to disturb the peace of the environment. Folks who spend their first vacation south of town invariably discover the north while beach-strolling and book there for their return visit, sometimes even in mid-vacation.

Notes: Importantly, we have our own powerboat and crew, for free airport pickups and returns; and water-taxis take guests back and forth to San Pedro many times each day and into the evening, right from our dock. It's a fun 10-15-minute ride to the center of Town. Thus our guests have quiet and privacy when they want it, as well as easy access to the many pleasures of San Pedro whenever they seek it. Occupancies throughout 2011 and well into 2012 are currently being substantially discounted. Fabulous Experience!!

In addition to owning rental properties my wife & I are very experienced travelers and use Home Away for all our trips... So believe me when I say Howard manages a tight ship and makes sure everything is taken care of as promised!

The rental process from start to finish was easy, professional and extremely detailed... Howard even arranged our plane, taxi & boat transfers... at no extra cost.

The condo itself was clean, spacious, comfortable and nicer than expected and the location and views are perfect and spectacular.

The resort is small, quaint, beautiful, clean and ideal... The pool and swim-up bar again were better than expected... The ocean is fabulous... However be warned that the beachfront is too shallow for swimming so a 1 minute walk down the pier leads to a diving board, entry stairs and a huge floating trampoline... way fun!!

The scuba, snorkel, kayaks, sailing, activities center is on site right on the pier... Too easy!

The onsite restaurant offers scrumptious food with daily specials... And the island has a plethora of other restaurants to choose from... some within walking distance, some via boat taxi.

Boat Taxi: When you arrive definitely by the multi-day pass... It's a great deal and will save you lots of money and or unnecessary walking.

The People: We found the Belizeans very friendly and honest... From the resort staff to vendors to workers we'd pass while out for our early morning run... When a vendor asks to show you his wares if you smile and say "no thank you" they smile and move on.

All-in-all a fabulous experience and highly recommended!!

Everything was perfect

From the moment we booked our reservation at Belizian Shores Resort our pre-Christmas get-away was perfect. We felt like we were being personally cared for by Howard and his staff, who made sure that all travel connections between Belize City and the resort were handled flawlessly. The villa was in excellent condition. The pool is beautiful. The Staff of Tuff e Nuff Tours, located on the dock in front of the resort provided equally flawless service. In our short stay we snorkelled, kayaked, bicycled, played tennis, went to the Mayan ruins and went cave tubing. The weather was a comfortable 80 degrees and mostly sunny. We'll be back!
