Alligator Point House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 9-12)

Heavenly Sunrise is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath beachfront home with ocean views from every room in the house except the three bathrooms. This home is a comfortable 1800 square feet with approximately 1000 feet of uncovered, covered and screened decks with unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico.

The home is comfortably furnished with a large family or group in mind. The top floor boasts a million dollar view of the sugar white beaches and Gulf of Mexico from the master suite, living room, dining room, kitchen, screened porch and uncovered sun deck. The kitchen is fully stocked with flat cook top stove with convection oven, large microwave, plenty of cookware and serving ware to serve many.

Most common small kitchen appliances are provided for your convenience. The first floor has three additional bedrooms, each with a covered deck and million dollar view of the Gulf along with two additional baths and the laundry room.

Heavenly Sunrise faces north-east for the most incredible sunrise views imaginable. Built in 2004, this home was constructed to the most stringent Florida Coastal Construction Zone building standards. The home was designed to provide breath-taking views and deck access from every bedroom and common area. Decks were designed for sun-lovers, shade-lovers and those that tend to attract the attention of biting insects common to Florida beaches i.e. no-see-ums or mosquitoes.

If you are looking for an un-crowded paradise for your family or friends, Heavenly Sunrise will more than deliver. If you dream of a Florida vacation on unspoiled beaches, without all of the tourists, tourist traps, traffic, and drunken crowds; Heavenly Sunrise will accommodate those dreams. If you imagine private midnight strolls or early morning jogs along the Gulf of Mexico, or the sounds of the waves crashing while the whippoorwills chant to wake you to your own private daily viewing of the Almighty’s splendor… Heavenly Sunrise is sure to please!

I'm from Tallahassee, but have lived in Atlanta for 25 years. I grew up fishing, crabbing and sun-tanning on Alligator Point at my Granddaddy's beach house. I built this house to accommodate my family and my husband's family. We have spent countless nights watching the shooting stars, eating roasted oysters and watching our kids grow up on the beach! Those memories will outlast us! We have traveled the world, but nothing compares to a family vacation at this beach. The privacy and the safety can't be found on another beach. I hope that you make some lifetime memories with your family and friends, also!

Sharon Brewer purchased this house in 2005

This is the 'Forgotten Coast.' Home of the last 'Real Florida' beaches. The area was protected by State and Federal Parks, Forests, and Wildlife Refuges many years ago, so it remains natural and pristine. The locals still fish for a living, and development was never allowed to run rampant. It is one of the few beaches in Florida where you can still find shells, sand dollars, starfish, coral and other sea life. The porpoises play along the shore with no fear of careless boaters, jet skis, and throngs of tourists. The pelicans and herons fish the shallow surf, as you watch in awe. The beach remains very much like the photographs from 65 years ago, when my grandfather owned a home on Alligator Point. To this day, his home still stands. No condos, or chain hotels or souvenir shops have taken its place. It's a trip back in time to 'the real Florida!'

Privacy, privacy, privacy! As a native Floridian, I am not fond of crowded tourist traps. This location is incredibly private. Most days you will have the entire beach to yourself! You can watch your kids play on the beach without fear of traffic, bad influences or strangers. During low tide, even the smallest children can play in knee deep water on one of the many sand bars. Because this is a low-impact beach; overpowering waves and undercurrents are rare. The sand dollars, starfish, coral and sponge and seashells are abundant.

HEAVENLY!!

  • 5 of 5
My family and I have been here a week and today (Friday) is the first day we have seen more than two people on the beach. The house is beautiful and the view is awesome! Family devotions and quiet Bible time, games at the dining room table, trips to the beach and watching my grandbabies have fun in the ocean. We have a three year old and we have been able to let him run and play without the worry of strangers, deep water and rip currents! No crowds, no hustle of busy traffic, just the sound of birds, and quiet! Thank you so much Sharon for sharing your house with us, your little piece of Heaven. I could go on and on about this place, but the way to really find out is to book for yourself and you will not won't to leave!!

LIFE IS A BEACH!

  • 5 of 5
My family and I were blessed and delighted to spend a beautiful time at The Heavenly Sunrise! My children grew up on this isolated beach and it was quite the homecoming to be just down the beach from their childhood home! Even though I didn't meet our hostess, Sharon, every need was met with a smile in her voice and a welcoming home! The home was so very accommodating, especially since it has 4 bedrooms. Our blended family was so very comfortable with their rooms, including one with a double/single bunk bed for a couple and their child. The screened porch off the dining room was so enjoyable on the couple of rainy days we had. We enjoyed grilling, crabbing, fishing and just taking it easy.
Everything you need for an incredible time at the beach can be found here!

WONDERFUL VACATION HOME AND WONDERFUL LOCATION

  • 5 of 5
We had the pleasure of spending a week in this lovely home. The home and beach are beautiful! We all enjoyed the beach, the ocean, the wildlife and the fishing. It was a relaxing and peaceful vacation and the house was perfect for our large group (2 families with kids ranging in age from 15 to 4). We scheduled a guided tour at the aquarium in Panacea on one of the days that were chilly and rainy and our guide did a great job of explaining each of the exhibits and showing the kids how to handle the animals in the "hand on" exhibits. I highly recommend visiting the aquarium. Our vacation was wonderful and we are so thankful to Sharon for sharing her beautiful home with us.

SPRING BREAK 2014

  • 5 of 5
First of communication with the owner was on point she was very prompt & kind. Our stay included a house full of teens, pre-teens and children under 11. From the drive into the location there's so much to do a park down the street the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab all of the State Parks the Cherokee Sinkhole we did it all and weren't disappointed. The house was everything we expect & more the pictures of the views do no justice until your standing outside of the decks just beautiful. The home was very clean and maintained it had everything I would need to entertain a house full not one thing I didn't find. The kids were very pleased with being able to walk the white sandy beaches and I had the peace of mind knowing this was such a quite secure little neighborhood. We even spotted dolphins a few mornings we would definitely recommend this house to everyone. Not to mention that I got my deposit back promptly with no hassle. We will definitely come back in the summer.

Owner's Response: We love it when our guests recognize how special and unique this beach is! It is the last private paradise left on Florida beaches! We try to think of everything you will need - so you never have to leave the house - if you choose not to! Thanks for taking care of our home and thanks for spreading the word! Come again - bring your family and friends!

BEAUTIFUL TRANQUILITY!

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Heavenly Sunrise and it was one of the best places we have stayed! The house was clean and roomy. The deck was perfect for sitting out and watching the dolphins and birds on the ocean. We saw the sunrise every morning and the moon rise every evening. Hearing the waves lapping onto the shore at night was the perfect sound for sleeping! We practically had the entire beach to ourselves! It was so quiet and peaceful. We visited local fishermen and bought freshly caught fish and shrimp to grill. The grocery store was fairly close by. We drove to St. George Island for the day. It is a perfect get away for anyone who wants to just check out and relax in a sleepy fishing town. The owner, Sharon, made it easy to reserve the place and check in and out. Very pleasant experience all around! We will certainly be back!

BEAUTIFUL, AMAZING, AWESOME, GORGEOUS!

  • 5 of 5
Alligator Point is an absolutely beautiful, biodiverse place! We have been to many parts of Florida and I have NEVER seen the shells and animals we saw on Alligator Point. The hermit crabs and horseshoe crabs were HUGE. At low tide, you can walk for what seems like miles! The beach is low impact so you don't have to worry about younger kids, but at the same token, we didn't have any waves for the older kids to boogie board. The only slightly negative is the water isn't as clear but that is a small negative. In addition, you need to wear water shoes. The Heavenly Sunrise was PERFECT! Lots of amenities and room for everyone! It was by far the coolest house in terms of temperatures inside the house. However, if you use a lot of ice, the ice maker cannot keep up so make sure you have a cooler handy to store ice. Lovely house and Ms. Sharon was super quick to respond to any communications.

Owner's Response: Thank you! Yes Alligator Point is a bio-diverse paradise! It is the REAL Florida! Located between Wakulla and Franklin Counties, in the Salt Marshes, Tidal Flats and Estuaries that were once called "Mysterious Waters" by the native settlers. After a storm, the fine sediment of the upland rivers spills out into the Gulf. This can stir up the usually clear waters of the Gulf for a day or two until the sediment washes further out into the Gulf. Then the waters are crystal clear again...thus the name "Mysterious Waters!" But it is these "mysterious waters" that attract the abundant sand dollars, dolphins, birds, manatees and other sea life that you find along the sugar white beaches of Alligator Point...that make this beach so unique! Bring your kayaks and explore the natural habitats up close!
