3 bedroom, 3.5 bath, den with sofa sleeper, private full bath.

Kokua house is located in private luxury Kona Bay Estates with 24 hr security. Ocean front community with beach access, 2 minute walk pool, and in gated community within walking distance of Kailua-Kona village where all the activities are, and dinning.

The house is approximately 2600 square feet, very light with lots of sliding windows, gourmet kitchen, tropical furnishings,central music system for the whole house and lanai. There are numerous lanais, and located in a tropical setting. Master suite has a jetted tub, and a double walk in shower. Den has a queen sofa with full bath and lanai.

Private pool, with bbq, and chaise lounges. There is no where else on the island you can walk to either the beach or town and never have to drive. The white sandy beach known as Keiki is quiet lagoon are perfect for kids. Short 2 minute walk .The house has everything for a perfect retreat.Tennis courts, soccer, and horseshoes are next store. at county sports park

Overall, we loved our stay here and would come back to the same exact property again. The location was just spot on! On the beach and a quick 1-2 minute drive to downtown Kona. The kitchen was well stocked with things such as tupperware, wraps, ziplock bags, etc that added to the convenience.

Two things that we weren't so happy about were that there was AC In the individual bedrooms but not centrally. Downstairs got a bit hot during the peak of the day. Second thing we didn't like was that there was no sound barrier (e.g glass windows). We could hear the snoring from the next bedroom loud and clear and vice versa. Luckily we were so tired none of it bothered us too badly but a sound barrier would've been nice.

All that said, the pros far outweigh the cons and i'd come back over and over.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was great, we enjoyed watching the sunset over the ocean just a few steps from the home. The kitchen was really well stocked and we ate outside every evening. We were a little surprised by the lack of privacy in the master bedroom due to blinds instead of windows but we did appreciate the sea breezes that therefore flowed through the house. Overall we were pleased with the property and our experience.

Great House Across the Street from Beach in Kona

There were eight of us who stayed comforatably in this house. Half were from on-island, two from OAhu and two from the East Coast. Everyone loved the house and the area. The house is well equipped with everything we needed to make the meals that we did eat at the house. The items left in the cupboards by previous guests were all dated with writing on the outside of the bottles. The fresh flowers greeting us were great. The carpet was white, and my wife loved how soft it felt (I think it is a berber) although over the years it was not perfectly white, but only slightly visible in high wear areas. The house was clean throughout and the pool area was were we congrgated, swam, ate and hung out. The house even has WiFI, and we could have called the owners to use the wireless ith a password, but we just plugged our laptop into the cord in the kitchen and used it there. The individual airconditioners were great. Some people used thiers and some didn't, whcih was much better than central air upstairs where individuals would not have a choice. The Real Estate Co. that managed the property answered the one question wqew had promptly and helpfully. The neighborhood is gated so we felt super safe and relaxed. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The ads on the VRBO website and other websites that list this property ACCURATELY depict what you will receive. We will and have recommended this place to friends and family already, We love the privacy of Kona Bay Estates, along with the closeness to the center of Kona (1/2 mile to Kona pier). Aloha!!

Great House!

This is a really nice house, conveniently-located in a beautiful gated community very close to Kailua-Kona. Our family of six stayed here quite comfortably for eight days, and we used it as a base to explore the area. The house is equipped with everything anyone would need.

The pool is small but was quite nice, and a perfect place to relax after long days at the beach, snorkeling or exploring.

The house is located across the street (via a short access path) from a small beach with a nice swimmable lagoon. Go at high or rising tide, and the swimming is very nice.

This is a great place to stay as very many activities are located within 30 minutes drive, and some are within walking distance.

I would gladly return to this house, and highly recommend it. The rental agents are very responsive and professional people.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
