Our lovely cabin is available year-round for all of your favorite activities, or to just relax. Located in the Manistee National Forest area, this charming cabin can be enjoyed year-round. The furnished private cabin offers 1200 square feet of living area; including a great room, one bedroom, a large full bath, and two Futon Couches that convert into Double Beds. The open great room includes the kitchen, dining and living areas. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, dishes plus both cooking and serving utensils. The living area contains the two Futon couches, (both converting to full size double bed), TV (for watching videos), VCR, DVD player. Off the living room is the front Red Door which opens to the front deck. This deck is nine foot wide deck and extends the length of the cabin.

The deck provides a quite comfortable place to relax or enjoy dining outdoors. The kitchen contains refrigerator/freezer, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, serving utensils, towels, pot holders, etc. Also enjoy the fire pit for outdoor cooking or just peaceful reflection. Walk out the door and down the road just ¼ mile to Johnson’s Bridge on the Little Manistee River where one can enjoy Fishing for Brown Trout, Salmon, Steelhead and More. Tube, Kayak, or Canoe on the Little Manistee River. Kayak rentals available at Enchanted Acres Campground 3 miles north of the cabin. Snowmobile, Hunt, Hike, Bike, Boat, Bird watch, Ski (Downhill or Cross Country), Dirt Bike, Mushroom Hunt, Ice Fish, and more in the Nearby Manistee National Forest Recreation Area. Located 10 miles north of the cabin is the Dublin General Store.

Local Attractions: Dublin General Store carry all hunting and fishing licenses as well as ORV permits and Forestry Passes. It’s also a great place to either get your supplies or restock your supplies. They have quite a selection of groceries, hardware items and hunting & fishing supplies. We are approximately 20 miles east of Lake Michigan and the town of Manistee, approximately 30 miles west of Cadillac, and 1 hour south of Traverse City.

My husband myself and our 2 boys had a wonderful time at the red door cabin. The manager and her husband were very helpful and attentive. It was a nice quiet setting which is just what we were looking for. Beatiful area, beach not far away. We had a bonfire everynight and roasted marshmallows and hot dogs. Cabin was furnished nicely and was clean. Everything we needed for our stay was right there. We didn't want to leave, we are also planning on coming back yearly over our anniversary. My husband and I even talked about buying property in that area to vacation. Lovely people and the store in Dublin was neat.
