I cannot recommend this property. It is way too expensive for the quality of the accommodations. I know quaint and rustic and I know neglected and tacky and everything about this house screams the latter. Dillon Beach is a wonderful place and I will definitely return, but I will find somewhere else to stay.

Owner's Response: Yes, the hot water heater failed, but that was the only maintenance problem. It did develop into a bigger problem; as due to the remote location of this beach area, that it always is very difficult to get repair men to come to Dillon Beach. I have even had Sears refuse to service this area. The renters were given a full refund & offered another house, just several doors away, but the choose to remain in the original house. I did the best that I could to solve their issues, but it appears that I did not please them. I understand that it was a great hardship for them & I apologize for all. The exterior was painted last year & the interior was painted this spring. I also put in a new refrigerator & microwave this last winter. This house having a hot tub & sauna does require more maintenance than most rentals, but I stay on top of all & fix anything as fast as I can.

yes, it's true. I would buy this property if I could. Situated facing the dunes and the ocean this rental is paradise just 2-hours from the Bay Area. I stayed with friends and pets and could not have asked for a more perfect place for our needs. We can walk to the beach and the dunes in about 30 seconds, come home for lunch in a well equipped kitchen, nap in the sun on the deck, relax in the Jacuzzi with a view of the sunset and have coffee on the front patio. We loved this home and feel lucky to be able to make it our home for a few days. Home is as represented in photos and was very comfortable for 4-adults but could easily accommodate 6. Loved it and I would highly recommend it only I want to keep it for myself! 10- Stars!

Christmas at Beach Walk

My family had a lovely time at Christmas in this very comfortable, clean, and well furnished house. It is right next to the beach, so we took our dogs for walks and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to put a nice meal together. We brought food up with us, but there is a grocery store in Tomales, and a smaller store in Dillon Beach. I really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, and there is a sauna right next to the hot tub. The property is fully fenced, so the dogs could spend time outdoors in the nicely landscaped backyard. My husband and I loved this house and are making plans to come back with friends.

Most romantic vacation ever!

My boyfriend decided to surprise me for my birthday and rented this beautiful vacation home for the weekend. I could not have envisioned a more perfect place for a romantic birthday/getaway weekend. The rooms were spacious and well decorated and created a very comfortable and romantic setting.

The kitchen was well utilized as he cooked me the most wonderful birthday dinner from scratch and subsequent meals throughout our stay. He had brought enough groceries, so we never had to leave.

This property boasts some of the most beautiful and serene beach views. It was nice to take a moment to watch the water as I sipped my first cup of coffee in the morning. It was also great to take long walks along the beach hand in hand with my handsome fella after being well fed.

I would definitely rent this property again. Perhaps one day this place will become even more special for me and my boyfriend.

By Far Best Location & Amenities!

My husband and I spent a few nights at Beachwalk and had a superb time. It is the perfect retreat. Since both Dillon Beach and the home is pet friendly we were able to bring along our pooch Wesley. Having the whole family together made this vacation property feel more like a home. While it had the perfect combination of home comforts, my husband and I felt like were staying in a serene retreat. It was exactly what we needed to feel rejuvenated. The sauna, outdoor shower, and starry nights in the hot tub are much more than you could ask for in a vacation property. During the day we could comfortably watch kite surfers on the beach either behind the front deck windbreaker or from the hot tub lookout. My husband and I enjoyed trotting across the street for the beach, but we often found ourselves persuaded to stay in and cuddle up to the fireplace. The location is by far the best we have had in a Dillon Beach vacation property. We’d give this property five stars and were reserving our next stay now!
