Vacation in a one-of-a-kind beach house on the Oregon Coast this summer. Built in 2004, Cape Cod Northwest in Road's End is the perfect beach house for a family reunion or gathering of friends, comfortably sleeping 16 and offering ample parking. This is NOT a typical rental house. You'll love the cathedral ceilings, in-floor heating, and of course, the view! It is situated so you can watch the sunset from any room of the house, or from the 1800 square feet of deck. You are less than 200 steps from the beach access path, which opens onto a secluded section of the Oregon coast. Nearby floodlights illuminate the surf at night, so the view is always spectacular. A wonderful 7-person hot tub sits on the lower deck so you can enjoy the surf by day and the stars in the evenings.

Cape Cod Northwest is In Road's End, 90 mi. W of the Portland Airport, on 5020 NW Lee Ave. Driving from Portland through wine country is a lovely trip! Our house is less than 200 steps from the closest beach access path, and a short walk to the state park. We are located on the corner of 50th and Lee, looking southwest down the beach. Our hillside location gives us great views.. We're a mile away from Devil's Lake, which offers all kinds of fresh-water activities. Tanger Outlet mall is close-by and the Chinook Winds Casino, our local Safeway, Blockbuster and Rite-Aid stores are all within 5 minutes of the house.

Amazing Amenities!: Tastefully decorated, Cape Cod Northwest offers a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with stone counter-tops and a farm table that can easily seat 12. The in-floor heating, deluxe pillow-top mattresses, 51 inch hi-def satellite TV, and Nantucket-style ambiance make this home memorable and unique. The Great Room and kitchen each have a wall of windows which overlook the ocean. A Recreation Room with its own TV and mini-kitchen can be found on the lower level.

3100+ square feet of living space/ Two Huge Decks: This home offers spacious accommodations. On the lower lever, there are two king bedroom suites w/private baths, plus a queen futon and queen sleep sofa. Another king master suite with luxurious shower is on the main level. On the 3rd level you will find another full bath with a large dorm-style room containing 4 twin beds. From the dorm room, double doors open onto a cozy queen bed alcove. Every one of the king and queen bedrooms has an ocean view! Two large decks give you room for the whole group to gather. The top deck has a 4 burner stainless steel grill, and outdoor dining furniture as well as lounge chairs. The lower deck holds the 7 person hot tub, and has more space to gather and enjoy the view.

Activities Abound: You can enjoy a variety of active sports or activities, or just sit on the deck and read a book or watch the surf. Here's a sampling of the activities you'll enjoy in or near Lincoln City: Horseback Riding on the beach, Kite Flying, Crabbing, Deep Sea Fishing, Fresh Water sports at nearby Devil's Lake, Chinook Winds Casino in walking distance. Great Restaurants, Shopping - Specialty Shops and Tanger Outlet Mall, Cinemas The Newport Aquarium is 30 minutes south, and the Pacific City sand dunes are 30 minutes north. Tillamook Cheese Factory is a fun trip for all ages - go for lunch and enjoy a Tillamook cheddar grilled cheese sandwich, topped off by a Tillamook ice cream cone! A limo tour of wine country can be arranged as well. The Evergreen Air Museum, home of the Spruce Goose, is a great stop on the way to the beach from Portland.

If one were to look up the word perfection in the dictionary I am quite certain you'd find a listing for Cape Cod Northwest.
The blue and brown color theme is perfect, a nice combination of sky, sea, and sand. The house is immaculate, and easy to keep in order during your stay. The beds are extremely comfortable, and enough bathrooms to go around. The lower apartment was nice getaway from the chaos of 2 little boys and their cars. The spa is large enough to hold 7 adults, and the stars were gorgeous. Then the fog rolled in and we entertained ourselves with spooky fog stories.
Our favorite place to gather was the main li ving area and the upper deck, primarily to enjoy the ocean view and comfortable chairs. The kites being flown on the beach were like colorful birds. And the seagulls were, well, seagulls. One morning we saw 4 adult deer milling around the driveway, and a second morning 3 fawns, with Mom of course.
The beach is a short walk, down a rock path lined with bushes that had enough berries,blackberries? to satisfy the curious and brave. The descent to the beach is a little steep, but I managed and I have a bad knee. Our grandsons 3 and 4 didn't have any difficulty. I would suggest, if you have problems walking steep inclines, drive your car down to the path. The last few yards up the street and drive are wicked.
The house has ample room for large groups (we numbered 9), and I've never seen so many place mats! Our group of nine occupied all three floors, and everyone had plenty of alone space for contemplating what ever you contemplate on vacation. The large dining table accommodated all with ease. Kitchen needs well stocked, and no shortage of dishes, tableware, or glasses.
We stayed in mid August and the weather was sunny, but a little cool. Wear or take a jacket to the beach, it's a little more than cool some days. The fog is fantastic and I intend to put it in my next time-travel novel.
Recommend Kyllos Restaurant, the nearby aquarium, Tillmook cheese factory, the quaint Bijou movie theater, and take time to watch the glass blowers in town.

I highly recommend Cape Cod Northwest. The owner is a delight to work with and very professional and organized.

Your beach home is absolutely wonderful! Our professional Board held our 2009 retreat at your beach house and have booked it again for next year! The view is stunning, the house was clean and spacious, and the kitchen was wonderful to cook in. We had enough room for all of us to spread out, conduct our business and also relax and have fun together. It was perfect.

Renters, If you are looking for an upscale home and really great owners you have found it. We spent our Spring Break in this house and were very impressed. I wrote Gail and told her she was the most organized person ever. All you need is provided and more. The sleeping arrangements with the five bedrooms and the 4 baths were very private for all of us. We had a wonderful time on the beach, even though it rained. The house was a great place to spend a rainy afternoon and very convenient to all the fun things in Lincoln City. We loved all the parking too.

This month, eleven of my female realtives and I gathered at this house for the second year in a row. There were comfortable beds for all. We love the space, beauty, location and view at this house. It's really clean and decorated in a beautiful and comfortable way. The kitchen, dining and living areas hold all of us. We'll be back!

October 15, 2008 Awesome house for a 'family get together' for my husband and I and my three brothers and their spouses. Great ocean view from the decks and close enough to hear the peaceful sound of the waves breaking. Plenty of room for all with great bedrooms and bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen and BBQ to show off everyone's cooking talents. Very comfortable, even had enough space in the living room for all to watch a movie together and relax with a glass of wine or two!
We simply loved the house and hope to come back some day.
