Our beach bungalow is designed to accommodate couples or small parties wishing to enjoy the beach and Florida weather in the privacy of a home setting. The garden atmosphere has a full size heated pool and hot tub with lighted waterfall. The huge great room overlooks the garden and sets you at ease the minute you enter. Unlike most rentals, we live and entertain here so we consider it our dream home and our goal is provide a vacation home to the discerning guests who are looking for something special and will appreciate it as much as we do. Every appointment has been made with loving care. And best of all, you can walk one block to the beach or anywhere nearby - the Pompano Pier, the marina, multiple restaurants, shops and the local Briny's Pub where good pub fare, music and company awaits! Pompano Harness Race Track and 'The Isle' Casino newly renovated is 5 minutes west. 5 miles to public golf course (lighted holes for night golfing). Executive Airport, 5 minute drive. Ft. Lauderdale airport is a 20-minute drive and elite Las Olas Drive, with the finest restaurants and boutiques, is a short 15-minute drive. Ft. Lauderdale Beach Place is south on A1A approx. 10 minutes. Dania Jai-lai is nearby as well and provides for a fun filled exciting evening. Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is about 30 minutes south. Broward Center of the Performing Arts is near Las Olas and they have Broadway Musicals/Shows during all seasons. Many restaurants have special dinner theater menus both pre and post show.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Minimum 4 night stay
  • Although we strongly suggest weekly rates, we will consider nightly rates for fill in dates (minimum 4 nights). All rates are based on double occupancy. A maximum # guests (4 adults or 2 adults and 2-3 children) require small assessment charge). We offer discounts for last minute stays. Remember to inquiry early. Dates do book up quickly. Discounts are considered this year due to the economy - ask!
  • We have pretty normal usage electric bills for utilizing the pool heater and hot tub. An additional $15 per day is charged for overage fees only where electric bill exceeds normal (average) usage. Electric company can calculate when excess is used. 50% deposit is due upon reservation and the balance is due 2 weeks - 30 days prior to rental. Refunds are made: with 60 days notice of cancellation, or if the dates can be re-rented. 1 - 2 nights charge will be assessed but can be applied to future stays if we are unable to rebook the dates. All rentals require a $1000.00 security deposit - refundable after inspection (returned within 3 weeks of departure) or held on credit card. We accept Personal checks, Certified Checks, AMEX Visa, MasterCard, Paypal (you will need an account to process charge). One time $20 WiFi/printer/DVR internet access/services fee is assessed.

Notes: The very large great room has 3 sofas (one queen sofabed), dining table (seats 6-8), organ, small guitar, Sony 27 inch TV with DVD/VCR, digital cable service, 5 disc CD player, CDs (most genres of music), videos, games, books, travel books and local travel/restaurant info. We also have a closet filled with 'in case you forgot' items, which for a reasonable price you can purchase (on the honor system). We also added a monitored security system for your safety and security (although probably unnecessary in this quaint seaside community). Your personal code will be added upon receipt of payment. As for pets, we will consider small dogs where guests bring kennel for time when guests are out. No pets are allowed on sofas, chairs or beds! If carpets require cleaning after departure, cost will be deducted from security deposit. Elderly and infirm guests have ramp for access to house but there are no bars on the shower and one has to step over the tub to enter.

Other Attractions & Activities: As an alternative to the Ft. Lauderdale airport, the West Palm Beach airport is about 35 minutes drive and at times has discounted fares. Since Pompano Beach is between Ft. Lauderdale and Boca Raton it is truly the best place to be to visit both. And should you want to explore Miami's South Beach, or dine at the world famous Joe's Stonecrab Restaurant, the drive is about 45 minutes south on I-95. The beautiful Florida Keys is a 2 -4 hour drive depending how far you'd like to go, but John Pennekamp Park, with its snorkel trips and glass bottom boat trips is in Key Largo and could easily be a nice day’s trip. Key West at about 4 hours might require a night's stay, but is surely worth it! If you'd like to combine your South Coast visit with a visit to the Orlando/Disney area, we have contacts there with homes all similar and will be happy to provide you with their web site. (3-4 hour trip). No matter your interests, there is always plenty to do or not to do depending on your mood.

Additional Rental Details: Children under 12 years of age are permitted, however, our pool is NOT fenced nor the home baby proofed. As a family ourselves, we know there are children who have been around water most of their lives, but we cannot assume any responsibility for accidents so contact us to discuss exceptions. All guests (excluding children) must be at least 25 years or older and a copy of a driver's license must be included in the reservation deposit. Daily or other domestic services can be provided at an additional charge (paid to cleaning lady separately) if desired. For an additional $20 per week, high speed internet access can be provided. Free long distance in US and Canada.

The location is convenient to the all the major roads and an easy drive to Palm Beach & Ft. Lauderdale. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance of the house.

This home is even prettier than the pictures and super comfy. Natalie makes absolutely sure that you have everything you need and makes adjustments if possible. She was there to greet us and show us around and to take care of last minute needs. She made us feel that she really wanted us to enjoy our time there and take advantage of all the house had to offer. She's taken the time to leave little notes with information for settings on equipment or to use appliances which were really helpful for folks coming in for their first visit. And her "little kitchen that could" had everything we needed from wine glasses and serving dishes to condiments and other staples. We came down for a wedding but really loved being "slugs" the rest of the time because it was so comfy and peaceful at the house. Taking an early morning cup of coffee and heading out to the beach a block away to see the sun rise over the ocean was very special. All the information about tours, restaurants and shopping was there on the desk. If you like seafood, the shop just on the other side of the bridge was a really good recommendation from Natalie. My allergies were no problem because she really makes a special effort to keep it hypoallergenic. The lady who comes in to clean found my necklace and Natalie notified us in time for us to do a turnaround to retrieve it.

We definitely would stay here again. Thanks, Natalie, for a wonderful week.
