Fun, comfortable family getaway

Our family of four (plus one dog) had a very comfortable, very enjoyable two-night stay at the guest house of this horse ranch, which is a pretty big deal for us. Our six-year-old son has autism, so vacations are a tricky deal. Everything on this vacation, though, worked out well, even though we made our reservation a mere week before our stay.

The property is better than the pictures on the website show. The pond is beautiful and peaceful with a lovely little dock and kayaks. The main room of the guest house is big and has vaulted ceilings, and the whole place is very nice for a "farmhouse."

Cindy and Stephen were wonderful hosts who made their whole property, outside of their personal residence, available for our use. Cindy even bought our dog a toy, and he had a good time playing with the host dogs.

Our only disappointment was that the hot tub was not available for our visit, but we completely understand why. The hosts had had a death in the family right before our stay, and they had hosted other family members on the nights leading up to our stay. They were very gracious to have everything else ready for us on very short notice.

We highly recommend this proporty to couples, families with children, and people with developmental or cognitive disabilities. The terrain is too tough for people with physical restrictions. And, absolutely, a great getaway if you want to bring your pets.
