Description of the North Hatley vacation house rental
**LeBaron Manor** is a fully restored turn of the century house located in the centre of North Hatley, only a few minutes walk from the main street. Situated on a beautiful 1 acre lot, the Manor has over 250 feet of waterfront (with dock) on the Massawippi River, and provides an excellent base for family vacations, romantic get-aways, and business meetings. The fully furnished, 4-season house sleeps up to 10 people and has excellent views of the river and forested hills to the north. A covered veranda extends along three sides of the house and provides a great location to relax. The orchard in the manor’s grounds offers a great place to picnic or play.
**The Manor is an excellent venue in WINTER with picturesque outdoor skating and x-country ski trails a short walk. The Townships main ski resorts are all close by: Mont Orford (20mins), Sutton (45mins), Owls Head (45mins). The closest ski run is a 5 minute drive.

North Hatley was described by the Lonely Planet as the 'the cutest of all the cute Eastern township towns.' The village is a 90 minute drive southeast of Montreal and approximately 20 min from the Vermont border. Nearby towns include Sherbrooke and Magog. Long a vacation spot, the village of 800 people is nestled at the north end of the beautiful Lake Massawippi. Vacationers have included former French president Jacques Chirac, while the current Quebec premier Jean Charest regularly spends his vacation here. The beautiful setting has inspired a strong artistic and literary tradition among community residents: village authors have scooped eleven literary awards including a Pulitzer Prize. Shops in the village centre display local artwork along with a wide selection of Quebec antiques, with cafes, pubs and well-known restaurants providing relaxation for those looking to get away from it all.
