Beautifully Updated Home set on 100 feet of private frontage with hard sand lake bottomon on the east shore of South Lake Leelanau. Offers incredible panoramic sunset views on a spacious lot from the east shore of the lake. This 20-mile long clear water lake is great for swimming, boating and fishing, with a private dock included.

Significant updates have been completed to the home, with a new kitchen, bathroom, new maple hardwood floors throughout, and flat panel TV. The home is neatly furnished and spacious at 1,550 square feet.

Open floor plan with full-sized kitchen, bar/dinette, dining area, living room, two bedrooms, loft, two bathrooms. Home is fully furnished with fully equipped kitchen, 3-TV's, DVD, Stereo, Gas Grill, bed linens provided. The large deck and open lawn are great for picnics and outdoor family fun. The large three-season room is arranged for fun with ping-pong, air hockey and many games.

Conveniently located, this home is within 15-minutes of Traverse City, Leland, Suttons Bay, Leelanau Sands Casino, Leelanau Club Golf Club at Bahle Farms, and many renowned Leelanau County Wineries. Within 40-minutes of Sleeping Bear Dunes, the skiing/golf of Crystal Mountain, and many Traverse Area Golf Courses.

Great Home and Location for Family Vacations

The Owner purchased this house in 2008
Why The Owner chose Lake Leelanau

We purchased this home because it was one of few properties on Lake Leelanau that had all we were looking for... A sandy lake bottom; quiet private setting; spacious inside and outside; incredible sunsets; convenience to Traverse City, Suttons Bay and Leland. Our kids love the shallow water - it is great for playing. We love the clear water of Lake Leelanau. The lake is more than 20 miles long and offers plenty of locations to stop and visit from the water. We use our home year round for weekends to visit family and friends, for birthday parties, ski weekends, and holidays.

What makes this house unique

Our home has a private setting. Some guests have used it for a private couples retreat, while most have a great family vacation. Our kids love the water, and shallow water to play in. In the cooler months, they love the bunk beds, the loft, and most of all the three season room with ping-pong and air hockey.

Wonderful Vacation

Our family had a wonderful time. The water was beautiful. We swam and had a great time. The lawn next to the house was awesome for playing outdoor games. The short drive to Traverse City was definitely a bonus. The house has an open floor plan and there were nice breezes coming in off of the lake that made it very comfortable. We loved it.

Relaxing Getaway in Northern Michigan

Our family of 5 (husband, me, 3 kids ages 10,9,6) had a great vacation here! Our expectations on the house description were definitely met. Not only is the house clean and very kid friendly, it is located in a quiet and relaxing setting. The game room was a hit after a long day out and some rainy mornings too. There is a nice big side yard for badminton and frisbee.
This was also a great location for day tripping to all the charming villages nearby, Sutton's Bay, Leland, Glen Arbor and of course Sleeping Bear Dunes. If you have children, the beach at Empire is great for the whole family! Also a visit to Fishtown and lunch from the Cheese Shop is a must! Sandwiches are worth the wait. A pie from Lake Leelanau bake shop should also be part of your vacation plans!
Overall, we would definitely recommend this location and stay here again!

We had a GREAT time! We ate quite a few meals out on the deck and really enjoyed it. The new television was amazing. To be honest, I'm not sure I'm ready for something that realistic, but it was fun to see it! And, I really liked the new refrigerator - especially the ice in the door. Oh, and all the fans kept it very comfortable in there. They were a great addition.

I can't tell you how much we enjoy coming up. It's a lovely home, and the setting couldn't be any nicer. Everything always looks so nice, and we feel very comfortable and at home. Thank you again for sharing it with us - we have a lot of wonderful memories from those vacations.

You're great hosts! And the kids are already talking about "next year"!

PS - We enjoy seeing how the kids are growing, so thanks for putting the pictures out. And, one of the neighbors left a note in the door asking about boat storage this winter. We put the note on the refrigerator with a magnet.
