This exquisitely appointed 2 story townhome is located at the Villages, a private gated community within the prestigious Mauna Lani Resort and within minutes of the Fairmont Orchid Resort. It has Tommy Bahama and Palachek furnishings throughout, original artwork, custom window treatments, and Asian accents which all give this home a luxurious tropical and tranquil feeling.

This 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath home has approximately 2200 square feet of interior living space and over 400 square feet of covered lanai. It has a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops, high end appliances, and a center island with bar stools. The spacious living room is equipped with a HDTV, DVD, stereo system, and ceiling fan, and has an adjoining dining area with seating for 6. The living room has a large 3 panel sliding glass pocket door that recedes into the wall and opens the living room to a large covered lanai for enjoyable indoor/outdoor living. The back lanai is surrounded by a large grassy lawn and has a built in outdoor kitchen with a gas grill and seating for 6 as well as 2 chaise lounges. There is an additional courtyard patio off the kitchen surrounded by lava rock, with seating for 4. This is Hawaiian living at its best.

The upstairs master bedroom has a king size bed, a TV/CD/DVD, a walk in closet and a master bathroom with a large tub, walk in shower, 2 sinks and enclosed toilet. The master bedroom also has a 3 panel sliding glass pocket door that opens to a private covered lanai. The upstairs guest bedroom has 2 twin beds, a TV, and an adjoining bathroom with a walk in shower. The downstairs guest bedroom has a queen size bed and an adjoining bathroom with a walk in shower. All bathrooms include travertine marble and cherry cabinets and all bedrooms include ceiling fans. The interior also features 2 zones of central air conditioning, wireless internet access, solid mahogany doors throughout, and a laundry room on the ground floor.

The Villages has its own amenities center with a fully equipped fitness center, a lagoon style pool and a heated spa, located within a 3 minute walk out the back door. In addition to that, guests at the Villages have access to the Mauna Lani Tennis and Athletic Center, the Mauna Lani Spa, and at check-in receive a gate access key to park at the private Mauna Lani Beach Club which has a beautiful white sand beach and a protected lagoon, making it ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The Beach Club also has a nice restaurant/bar, lounge chairs, showers, and a place nearby to rent snorkel gear or paddle boards or sign up for scuba diving or a sunset sail. There are also many other excellent white sand beaches in close proximity to the Villages.

The house is an excellent location, well kept, comfortable and well equipped. My wife and I liked it so well that we have reserved it for next year. My review is excellent. Should note the owner is very reliable, accessible and responsive.

The location is second to none at the Mauna Lani. Close to shopping and very good restaurants.

We Will Definitely Stay Here Again!!!!!!!!

We can't say enough wonderful things about this condo. The pictures do not do it justice. It's beautiful, clean, very tastefully decorated, well appointed (we found nothing lacking in the kitchen for the nights we cooked at home), and very comfortable. The sliding doors were a nice touch during the cool mornings and evenings. The location is perfect for island touring/shopping and the condo itself is tucked away in a very beautiful and quiet area of the complex. The short walk from our lanai to the gym came in handy. Also, we brought our eighteen-year-old niece and one of her friends with us and they enjoyed short walks to the shopping center/grocery store/restaurants. They also visited the nearby beaches daily.

Regarding the management staff.... They were extremely helpful and professional. We arrived after dark and used their after-hours line for assistance in directing us to the check-in office and the condo. They were very pleasant during checkout as well. We did not have to call them in between as we had no issues.

We will definitely rent this condo again when we return to the Big Island. :D

Fabulous place to stay

This is a lovely and spacious townhome. Well appointed indoors and out, with lovely artwork, fully equipped gourmet kitchen, comfortable bedrooms. and a great grill and dining area on the lanai . Easy access to the beaches and snorkeling area, and to a range of fine and relaxed dining venues nearby with spectacular views. We were able to take advantage of this central location to explore beaches, hiking and fun towns both to the north and going down beyond the Kona area.

Absolutely Spectacular!

Our stay in Cynthia's luxury townhome was absolutely perfect. It was everything listed on VRBO and more. It's located in a quiet gated community ~ 40 mins from Kona airport. It's also within walking distance to a small convenience store & shops including a surf shop where you can book tours & rent snorkelling equipment. Cynthia's unit is conveniently located steps away from the community pool & exercise facility, making it easy to take our 1 year old grandson to the pool. This spacious home is truly luxurious, with a strong emphasis on beautiful furnishings, unmatched quality & style. It is exceptionally well maintained & family oriented. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, making us feel we were at a 5 star hotel. We loved the green space adjacent to the outdoor patio. We made use of the BBQ & large outdoor dining table & ate all our meals outside. There were nice thick beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler (which we used every day) and baby items. We were pleasantly surprised to find a high chair, playpen & beach toys. A few words of advice ... if you plan to walk around the complex at nite, bring flashlights as there is a low light policy & the area is dimly lit. There is exceptional snorkelling close by (check with the guys at the snorkel shop) & great shopping ~ 5 mins drive at the Queen's & King's shops. Buy groceries/liquor in Kailua @ Safeway or Costco. Cynthia was extremely helpful & prompt answering any questions we had, we were exceptionally pleased with this beautiful property & would highly recommend it to others considering a Big Island vacation.

Fabulous location for wonderful luxurious beach vacation

We stayed a week and it was the ideal location: just a walk or jog or 5min. drive to the beach club for great swimming and snorkeling and paddle boarding, walk to a great food store and restaurants, short drive to airport south or other great beaches north. Also short walk to water and the petroglyphs. House was attractive, comfortable and well-appointed—spacious, good kitchen as part of great room, nice lanai with 2 minute walk to pool and exercise room. Great options of AC or open doors and fan. Garage for car that includes chairs and umbrellas for beach.

R & R in Paradise

Another great vacation on the Big Island. This is our fourth stay in last 2 years. The condo was great. Very large residence and a small yard for those with young families. It is also very close to the pool and gym out the back yard area. Great for home cooked meals with everything you could ask for. We BBQ'd almost every evening. Also in the garage they have a couple of beach umbrellas, beach chairs and a cooler that came in very handy for those warm beach days. It is close to one of the, if not the best beach on the island at Hapuna (5 minute drive) and a great snorkelling spot at beach 69 towards Puako. New this year is the $5.00 charge to access both beaches, but well worth it. If you need any beach gear or book some adventures Snorkel Bob's is minutes away at The Shops at Mauna Lani. Booked a manta ray moonlight snorkel trip through them with Neptune Charlie's. Saw 7 Manta's and got some great video. Captain Glen and Sarah were awesome. Minutes from the condo is a great little store that we frequented on a regular basis for groceries. If you need lots of Groceries Costco is in Kona area about 30 minutes away. Thanks to Cynthia for allowing us to use her home for our family vacation.
