CASA PARAISO~ISLA MUJERES OCEANFRONT HOME~PRIV. POOL~SPECIAL LOW RATES

My wife and our two good friends spent 2 weeks at Casa Paraiso this Feb. and had the most wonderful time. We were met at the Casa by Ron Herman,the propery manager. Ron gave us all the information we needed to know as well as answered any questions we had. The accomodations were wonderful...very spacious kitchen,dining and living room areas...the bedrooms were again spacious,clean and nice king-sized beds in both rooms. Beautiful view of the ocean out the patio doors as well...Also had a chance to meet the new owners as well...Ashley and Todd...wonderful,friendly people who obviously care about this home and the guests' experience staying there as well...Would highly recommend this home to anyone going to Isla Mujeres...Will definatley stay there again...

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at Escalera Blanca! The house is spacious and very comfortable. It is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures and so nice to have the sea right across the road. We watched the Iguanas every day come out to sun bathe. We loved having the privacy of our own pool. We were not accustomed to the humidity and heat- so the pool was an absolute pleasure to hang out in during the day and at night after dinner in town. Speaking of dinners, we did not have one bad meal on the island! Fabulous places to eat. Monchi's and Mango are just down the road from the house on your way into town and we ate at Monchi's twice. We found other small Mom & Pop places to eat- was all yummy! Oscars had awesome camarones. On Hidalgo Street we met Marc & Barbara at Droppin' Some NYC Deli. Their sandwiches are to die for and a nice change of pace in food. Ate at Olivia on Hidalgo- fabulous food there too! We shopped till we dropped on Hidalgo and other places. We thought we would need to go over to Cancun to go shopping but there is not need. The island has everything you need. Beautiful beaches, safe, fun to cruise around in our gold cart all week and come back to the privacy of the house was awesome!! My son chauffered us in the golf cart. Watch out for the red taxi's they are crazy drivers!! Went to the Turtle Farm. Did not get to zip line or swim with whale sharks, maybe next time. Lots of little grocery stores and the big grocery store close by, Chedraui. We roamed the island freely and felt safe where ever we went. Mundaca Divers took us out from Avalon Resort on a dive trip. They were awesome. My son took dive lessons in the pool there before hitting the open water. I snorkled above; everyone below at about 25 ft. so I could see everything they were seeing. We went to Casa de los Suenos for lunch and rented snorkel gear; snorkled on their beach- beautiful place to spend the afternoon. We stayed from June 29 thru July 7. The island was not crowded at all, restaurants were not busy so we got right in. Suzanne, the owner and Gabriel our house manager were wonderful and helped make our first, but not last, visit to Isla wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. We will be back ASAP!!!!

What can I say except what a great time my husband and I had. We flew in from Philladelphia and my brother and his wife joined us from Ottawa Canada. The island is so enjoyable. Very laid back and to tool around the whole island all week on a golf cart and feel we were safe the whole time is something you can not say about a lot of islands. I thank Suzanne again for sharing her lovely home with us (strangers). When we arrived on Sat. in Cancun we took a cab up to the ferry. (Book ahead, it's cheaper) We paid 70 US and my brother booked ahead and it only cost him 40US. The house manager Ron was there at the house to greet us and give us the keys and go over a few things and recomendations in the area. The house is so big and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. Very sound proof. The sound of the ocean at night while you are falling asleep was theraputic. The only thing that we could have done without was the rooster that started some morning at 4AM. But it added to the ambiance. The breezes were wonderful being on the carribean side of the island. There is no beach across from the house but a short walk down the road brings you to one. We snorkeled at Garrafon de castile which was only 50 peso's (approx. 3.60US) for the whole day. I had my own snorkel gear so did not have to rent. What fun, feeding the fish which would surround you in the water. On days we did not go to snorkel we went to Norte beach and relax on the beautiful sand and admire the turquise waters. Watch out for the 2 for 1 Margaritas. They sneak up on you and you'll end up in the water singing T.V. theme songs (my sister in-law and me) It was just another fun day in paradise. The restaurants OMG where do I begin. First of all Limon restaurant not far from the house is my favorite restaurant on the island. It has been open only about 4 months and is moving quickly up the ranks on Trip Advisor. I can see why. The avacado salad as a starter (to share it is so big) was to die for. So refreshing. All I can say is go there!!!! Mango cafe and Barlito's for breakfast are the best. I can't believe I only gained 3 lbs while away. I guess I worked it off snorkeling. All I can say is this island has so much to offer. We never cooked 1 meal at the house but it certainly has everything if you need to. A good local restaurant we came across by accident was La Bruja it is on Cherna. Best Chicken Tacos we ate all week. And reasonable price wise. What a great time, thank you again Suzzane!!!! Kim M
