This home has its Pros & Cons.
Pros: Spacious M Bdrm, semi-comfortable bed, wonderful walk-in closet.
Con: Sticks 2 open & close verticle blinds missing, Sun comes through early morning. No sleeping in, in this room. Lighting over M Bthrm sink not working making it difficult 2 see.
Pro: Attractive roomy Kitchen. Paper & cleaning prod.
well stocked.
Cons: Very dirty upon arrival. Fridge & Freezer totally grossed us out, not 2 mention trash cans & can pull outs. Pantry also needed cleaning. Blender did not work, had 2 purchase 1.
Pro: Private pool area was very nice 2 have & highly enjoyed by the whole family. Having the pool area screened in was great protection from insects & plant debris.
Con: Jets on pool floor kept popping out but did not hender our use. You just had 2 be careful not 2 step on any of the parts as they were sharp.
Con: 3rd bdrm is technically an office & very small.
Floor was very dirty & had 2 be swept upon arrival. Batteries in thermostat went dead on 3rd day & we could not find any replacements in the house. Also the batteries in the smoke detector on the main floor went dead during our stay.
Con: Garage door opener never worked. May need new batteries.
Con: Propane tank on grill was empty upon arrival, interferring with our 1st nights dinner.
Pro: Owner came out next morning & replaced. He was very apologetic.
Pro: Beach is very close. Wonderful area 4 shell hunting.
I brought home some beautiful shells.
Cons: No lighting from house 2 beach, hard 2 see at night, take a flashlight. Beach in this area is very narrow.
Dont plan on any sunbathing on the sand. Locals not very friendly. Older gentlemen kicked water in my face 1 day while I was sifting through my shell net.
Overall: The Englewood area is a quite sleepy town w/ not much 2 do and no nightlife. Majority of resturants close by 9pm even on weekends. We drove around for an hr on Fri night trying 2 find a place 2 have dinner. Other than a couple of places 4 watersports nothing else 4 the kids 2 do & you need 2 be 16 2 do watersports. If you are a person who likes 2 keep busy or looking 4 excitement I advise you 2 choose another area unless you dont mind driving. If excitement is not your bag this is the place 4 you.
Overall we enjoyed our trip & the beach house but probably would not return 2 this area. If it were not 4 the pool our kids would have been unbearable as they were totally bored.
I give this beach trip an Average.

It always amazes us that people don't communicate a problem that can be easily remedied and then complain about it later. Our house gets a thorough cleaning between renters which includes vacuuming and mopping. Most people appreciate condiments and unused groceries in the fridge and pantry. The kitchen is spotless every week. Not sure about the blender but, it is new and no one else has complained. Don't understand the statement about sharp objects in the pool. Cleaner heads pop up in zones to keep the pool clean. Beach lighting is not permitted as it can disturb the sea turtles nesting here. Most of the people on the beach are tourists and not locals. We've been here thirteen years and never had any one kick water in our faces. Yes it is a slice of small town America with little to do except enjoy the sun, sand, and water but, that's why most people come here. By the way, who takes their kids to dinner after 9:00 pm?
