A gem on the Nova Scotia coast

My wife and I, together with 3 other couples, rented Sunrise at Sol Point for a week this summer. We all had high expectations and these were greatly surpassed. The gorgeous home is even better than described, and the lovely pictures don't do the property justice. It is spacious, clean, and wonderfully equipped with new stainless steel appliances (including a wine fridge!). The views are spectacular. The building has been lovingly rebuilt to resemble the original fish plant, so it fits the local ecology to a tee. There's lots to do in the area - we spent happy days hiking, sightseeing (Peggy's Cove is next door; Halifax, Grand Pre, and Lunenburg are easy drives), cycling and kayaking. We enjoyed seeing bald eagles, seals, herons, and other wildlife. We would definitely recommend this spot to all who love spectacular coastal settings and the highest quality accommodations. And by the way, there is a cable internet connection that was not advertised, so came to us as a pleasant suprise.
