Charming suite just steps away from the ocean

This property was perfect for my five year-old son and I! It was just a few houses back from the ocean...close enough to hear the relaxing sound of the waves. Although the closest ocean spot was too rough for swimming, my son had a wonderful time exploring the black sand beach and the "treasures' he found such as a lobster shell and old anchor. We also used the golf cart to drive around this beautiful gated community and visit a marine sanctuary, several beach access points, and Champagne pond. Champagne Pond, a geothermally heated pond bordering the ocean, was only minutes away on a golf cart and a 15-20 minute walk.
The property is low-key, but provides everything a family or couple needs, such a laundry facilities, snorkeling equipment, and a small kitchen. The bedroom has a window unit, and although the listing only says the bedroom is air conditioned, it actually is a powerful enough unit to cool the whole suite. The suite was clean and had really cute beach decor (surf board, turtles, etc.).
The owners were also incredibly accommodating. They gave me a discount since this was a last minute rental. Then, on top of that, they allowed me to do a late check out for a very reasonable fee. And finally, when I had to stay an additional night unexpectedly, they also charged a reduced fee. This was on top of the fact that the base-rate for this rental was already an incredible deal.
My only suggestion to the owners is that some things were a little run-down and should be replaced (the bikes were rusty and the living room rug had a big stain on it). But everything else was perfect and this property was just an amazing deal! I would definitely stay there again.
