South Beach Vacation Rental apartment

We rented this condo with another couple for 10 days through the WMC. It had a loveley view, a great balcony, and was almost exactly what we were looking for. The actual building is a bit old and pool area it overlooks could use a good scrub, but the other pool on the back side is loveley. The place has beach front access. This is not a hotel or luxurious experience. It is however a nice accomadation with plenty of space. Beds were comfortable, the condo was clean, plenty of linen, and the kitchen has most of what you need. We spent several mornings having our breakfast on the balcony and even an evening or so sitting there watching fireworks after ordering in. The grocery store is about a mile, we walked to and from but if you were trying to buy for a week get a cab. There is a liquor store around the corner and several drugstores nearby. It was further north than we expected but we enjoyed the walk. It is not too far to walk to the main areas in south beach. We easily strolled to the Front Porch Cafe several times. We also walked to the marina. With the WMC on, we were glad to be a few blocks away frm the noise. The W hotel is being built next door right now, very noisy and they start at 7 and work till 5 Mon-Sat. Also, if you want to do laundry there are W/D in the facility, buy a laundry card from the administrative office. It is not open on the weekends. Overall, it was a good experience and a great holiday.
