This very cute downstairs unit is currently being used as a guesthouse by owners. It is located behind the owner's historical home (Victorian) and looks out to a beautiful well-maintained garden which is home to a large fountain, providing a soothing affect for the soul. The garden will entice you to take your cup of coffee out every morning to be greeted by the sweet smell of 'Double Delight' roses or Jasmine.
The unit is impeccably clean since it is only used by family members and guests. It is decorated in beach cottage style with comfortable antiques. Wood floorings throughout, with light blue walls and white trim -- very fresh and inviting!
The property is only a block to grocery stores (Boney's Market and Albertson) and only two blocks from Coronado's scenic Ferry Landing that has been completely renovated to emphasize the breathtaking views of San Diego City skyline - take a picnic basket; find a grassy spot to lay your blanket; eat your dinner & sip wine while you watch the sunset against beautiful San Diego skyline. Owners provide 2 beach cruisers for guests to get around town. During the 4th of July, two shows for fireworks are presented: Ferry Landing and Glorietta Bay. Walk to the Ferry Landing and take a blanket to lay on and watch the fireworks right over your head - magnificent!!!
You will also enjoy the many restaurants that are only a few blocks away (Candela's, Il Fornaio, Peohe's & many more) as well as Coronado's Community Recreation Center which houses a complete gym/fitness center and Olympic size pool. Water aerobic classes are offered for adults as well as other fitness programs that are offered either daily or weekly. And, if you are a golfer, Coronado's community golf course is only a hop, skip and a jump away!

We are empty nesters who live on our property. Our children are all grown and are either doing their graduate studies or already working in their field. We have two grand baby girls that are a joy to us and see from time to time. Our home is a Queen Anne Victorian and is a registered historical house in Coronado. The guesthouse offered on VRBO for rental is on the ground floor and sits behind our historic home surrounded by a lush garden, as we are avid gardeners and ran the Coronado Floral Association and Flower Show for several years. The guesthouse is part of our triplex unit that we restored in early 2000. We converted and designed the bottom unit to function as a guesthouse for our family and aging parents to enjoy during their extended stay in Coronado. It is a very friendly atmosphere and very peaceful and quiet when you retreat inside. We love having guests enjoy our property and to offer them the experience of living in the Village as pampered guest but a true Coronadan! We hope to be able to meet you soon and offer you this wonderful experience!

Our property is located in the City of Coronado (the Village) - the most coveted area in San Diego County! It is a beach community but with a small town atmosphere! Coronado has zero crime rate and sits on very flat land so bicycling everywhere is absolutely perfect. Our guesthouse is on the Ferry Landing side (only two blocks) which is opposite the beach side of the peninsula but boosts a never-ending and spectacular view of the San Diego skyline. We get up in the morning and go outside to take in the fresh ocean air while we stroll on our tree-lined street pass our neighbors' beautiful homes; we enjoy a short walk to coffee houses and then stroll over to the Ferry Landing to absorb the beauty of the boardwalk towards tidelands park. Our location is so convenient to everything! It is near restaurants, farmers market, water taxis and the Ferry to get to downtown San Diego, etc.! We cannot list all the reasons why we chose this side of Coronado Island. But, the beach is also so easy to get to from our side -- only 8 blocks away so you can enjoy a scenic and delightful walk!
When you stay with us, you basically do not need a car! It is easy to get to Downtown San Diego via Ferry at the Ferry Landing.
We have lots of hometown activities going on year round - concerts in the park, art walks, historic walking tours, lawn bowling, etc.

Owners do not rent for lrg parties nor large group activities & have a strict NO-smoking & NO-pet policy. City of Coronado has no-smoke ordinance.

A deposit is due upon signing contract. Half of rental cost is due 60 days prior to arrival & remaining balance (full payment) is due 30 days prior to arrival. Cashier's check is preferred. Credit cards are accepted via Paypal, which includes processing fee. International travelers-credit card payment only.
