Casa Tranquila's extensive remodel was complete in January 2013, including all new, full-view windows, new furniture and appliances, and a bright, sun-kissed exterior color. The sensational new Private Casita is the most welcomed new addition, providing more area for larger groups, allowing up to 10 Guests.

Casa Tranquila can be rented as always, with its three perfect, prestige suites, or, for just a bit more, you can add the Casita for more social or sleeping accommodation. (Visit casatranquilacostarica,com for specifics). With this option, you will include an ideal separate space with convertible sleeping options and a large screen HDTV, a dining balcony with extraordinary views, and fourth bath, complete with jungle shower. The Casita is offered only as an option for Guests renting the Main Villa, and is never offered separately. So if you do not choose it, it will be vacant.

Smaller groups (six or less) can opt for the Casita too, for more room to spread out while watching the large TV (with Netflix), and enjoy sunset dinners outdoors.

Either choice you make, Casa Tranquila looks forward to being your host for a vacation you will always remember. Its prestige Bali-style decor inspires your tropical sensibilities, while offering all the comforts and modern conveniences you would expect in such a luxury home.

About Donald Corvette

I moved to Costa Rica and began Casa Tranquila in April 2006. After years as a National Executive with prestige fashion corporations (Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta), it was time to begin a new stage in my life, at 50, that did not include the challenges of corporate work. Yet I still wanted to integrate my 20 years' experience within the luxury industry into my new chapter.

Also, many real estate opportunities in Palm Beach, Florida provided my insight for remodeling normal houses into beautiful homes. I simply “translated” that awareness into Spanish, and transformed Casa Tranquila into a Tropical Villa that provides both comfort and luxury, simultaneously.

I found this combination of fashion and real estate created the ideal blend for designing Casa Tranquila.

My Border Collies, Chelsea & Sombra, and I prefer a sense of home life, which does not require an abundance of travel. So we decided to create our haven in this pristine tropical location to encourage 'The World' to travel to us. Car: not necessary

Manuel Antonio’s five-mile long main road divides the town into East and West. Casa Tranquila is on the West – or “ocean” -- side of this road. Many homes on the other side have Pacific views, but, because they are far away from the ocean, locals call them “distant blue' vistas. Being on the West, Casa Tranquila offers one of the closest views of the Pacific Ocean anywhere in the area.

Being 150 meters below this main road, Casa Tranquila is, indeed, tranquil.

Yet, the proximity to the road allows you to walk to the beach, excellent restaurants and adventure locations.

    The Private Casita is a perfect addition for more social/dining area or supplemental sleeping space. For $90/night, it makes Casa Tranquila suitable for 10. Our Casita boasts its own full bath, dining balcony, air-conditioning, outdoor shower, and large screen high definition TV. Send an inquiry now for specific information. The Casita is never offered independently; therefore if you choose not to use it, it will be vacant. (See photo #4)

  • Baths, when you are vacationing in a beach area, can be your most vital room. Since you spend a great deal of time in the shower area, we believe it must be private, comforting and luxurious. Our bath areas have all been remodeled with the finest tile, stylish new teak cabinetry, granite and marble counters, and the most contemporary water fixtures. Luxurious towels and shower amenities make you want to stay in the bath area as long as you can. The outdoor shower allows you to feel as close to nature as you ever will.

  • Each air-conditioned suite is finely-furnished including the best of linens, prestige bath amenities and fresh flowers. While all have ocean views, The Vista Suite (on the top floor) has the most capturing; The Pool Suite opens to the pools; The Bamboo Suite is furnished with a luxurious king size bamboo bed. All have private baths, of course. The bedding is 800-Count Eqyptian Cotton, and there are tons of pillows. Nineteen inch LG flat-Screen TV's and DVD players are in each Suite. Robes and Sarongs complete the sense that this is, indeed your home. At night you can experience the fresh ocean breezes and the sounds of the crashing waves to lull you to sleep.

BEST vacation EVER!!

Casa Tranquila is a very special place. It's a beautiful house with amazing views but what sets this house apart is the Casa Tranquila team. Donald and his amazing staff are so friendly and go out of there way to make sure that every detail is taken care of. With many experiences renting vacation homes, this is by far the VERY BEST choice we ever made. Costa Rica is a beautiful country and the people are very nice. All of the excursions and restaurants that Donald recommended were outstanding. We really did leave as friends!

We can't thank them enough for a very memorable anniversary vacation.

Beautiful Views and Accomodations

I highly recommend Casa Tranquila. The house is beautiful with all the ammenities that we needed. The views are absolutely stunning and the location is perfect for getting around the area. The owner, Donald, was excellent providing concierge service to meet our every need. He was on hand to help arrange any site seeing or recreational activity we were interesting in and providing exceptional advice about the area. A perfect place for enjoying gorgeous views, viewing the wildlife of Costa Rica, and having a relaxing vacation. It is a truely excellent property, excellent service, and stunning views. I couldn't have asked for more.

There aren't enough pictures and words to possibly describe the bliss we experienced at Casa Tranquila. Donald is extremely accommodating and took care of all of our needs from the moment we stepped off the plane. He was a great resource with his extensive knowledge of the community and recreational activities offered in the area. The house was immaculate and I highly recommend it!

Casa Tranquila = Perfect Birthday Escape

Everything about our Costa Rican escape was perfection, including our stay at Casa Tranquila. Donald was the perfect host and took care of every detail for us. We had the most amazing view of the ocean from Tranquila, yet privacy of the gardens surrounding the home -- it was the perfect setting of ocean views and forest/gardens where we had up close and personal visits by the white-faced monkeys and squirrel monkeys. Donald made the perfect connections for us, including canopy tours, white-water rafting, spa massage and even a surf lesson. We had a private cook that made the most tasty meals -- I would say even better than some of the local restaurants! It was simply a trip of a lifetime and staying at Casa Tranquila was heaven on earth. We'll be back.
