Comfortable Boardwalk Cottage Within Walking Distance of Lake, Beach and Village

Great little cottage! My husband, myself and 3 kids stayed here summer of 2010....centrally located - which is so great if you like to walk thru the village at night - no worries about getting a parking spot! 1/2 bathroom downstairs and full one upstairs worked perfect for our family of 5. Quick walk to the beach was great with three kids in tow......you have to walk down the street a few steps to get a great view of the lake....Owner also left us discounted tickets for a great boat ride around the lake....it was a wonderful stay and reasonably priced! We would totally stay again!!

My husband and myself rented this cottage the first week of Aug. and loved it. We were able to bring our jack russell with us as well as our boat. The location of this cottage is great. We parked our truck and didnt have to drive anywhere. There is a price chopper across the street along with resteraunts and gift shops. We slipped our boat at the marina which was just down the hill. Everyone there was friendly and accomidating. The place was perfect for us. We had a couple of friends join us for a few nights and they agreed we should come back next year. The cottage itself is a little dated but most cottages are. The place was clean and private. The only thing I didnt like was the can opener so bring your own. I will definatly go back.

The cottage was in an excellent location. It is within walking distance to everything.

The cottage had it's pros and cons like anywhere else:

Pros:

Restaurants, Shopping, Deli, Bar, the cruise ships. It is on the main strip (so you could sit out by the street and watch all the people) There was a great pizza place right across the street and the bar/restaurant next door also had a deli for breakfast and lunch sandwiches, plenty of off street parking, fully stocked kitchen, clean linens and towels, cleaning supplies if needed, gas grill, tables and chairs on the porch, since it is in an area that occasionally has some storms and power outages there were flashlights in all rooms (some needed new batteries). It slept 7 adults comfortably, 2 were in the main living area on a queen sofa bed (which was very comfortable), The rental agent was very friendly and accommodating. Keys were easy to get especially if you were a late arrival. Plenty of dresser space in both bedrooms.

The cons: (which are not that bad)

Bathrooms were a little out dated and small, they need some minor repairs like a higher shower head (for tall people) or one that was detachable, new flooring and new sink, but they were clean. If you were using all the air conditioners (3) and you used a curling iron or blow dryer the circuit breaker blew. The front bedroom did not have a TV or air conditioner (would be okay if children were sleeping there) but the back bedroom had both.

It was definitely better than a hotel room! I will be making plans to stay again.
