Enjoyed awesome family time at this home in White Mountains. Convenient to hiking spots, owner very responsive to questions, plenty of room for our family and loved the piece and quiet on the outside deck! Check it out and have fun!
A wonderful house! We had 3 couples stay there for a wedding, and the sleeping arrangement (3 bedrooms with queens/king) and the huge living room were perfect for our group. The house also has a great space for kids - a downstairs playroom and a yard away from the "main" road, but there aren't any obvious kids rooms for them to sleep in. The big kitchen was a huge bonus, and the deck was a great place to sit in the morning. Although the house is not right on the lake (and the lake is not visible from the house), the house is VERY quiet in term of human noises, and is totally surrounded by trees and birdsong, to the point that is feels like you are staying in a tree house! So while this wouldn't be a good house if you want to swim in the lake every day, it's a great place for a big group if you want to explore the other attractions the region has to offer, particularly if you like to cook. The house does have kayaks that you could drive over to the boat launch area, which would be a great way to explore the lake. The house was very clean, had all the amenities listed in the ad, and the owner was very easy to work with. The decor is quite eclectic and adds to the charm. Would stay again!
Great location, great layout of the property. It was nice to be able to use the kayaks to go out and fish on streeter pond while other friends of ours went to play golf. Had a nice fire pit and outside grill. Full kitchen use. Some small downsides was that the house was advertised in have direct tv but it was not set up, along with having air conditioning but only had small air fans in each room. Overall it was a fun and great place to stay.
Friends were getting married in the area, so we rented this house for a long weekend for 7 of us. The photos paint a perfect picture of the house. The place was very well maintained and there was a ton of space for us all. The owner was very helpful with local recommendations such as taxi's (daves taxi) and watering holes. We were busy with the wedding for most of the weekend so we didn't have as much time to explore as I would have liked. It is close to a lake which is quiet and lovely and there are many amenities that are listed in the description. I recommend this house to anyone looking for a nice quiet weekend in the mountains with friends. Also, go to Topic of the Town for a meal. It was one of the best breakfast/lunches we've ever had - from their fried chicken to french toast to homefries.
