There is public transportation by bus and then subways to and from the airports.There are also local city buses that stop a half block away from the house. The Staten Island Ferry, which is a FREE 30 minute ride to Lower New York City and runs all day and night, 24/7 is only a three block walk, 10 minutes or a short 5 minute bus ride from the house. There is FREE all day/night parking in front of the house! In Lower NYC there are sightseeing buses, city buses and subways to anywhere in all of the five boroughs. There is also the connection to the Statue of Liberty ferry near to where the Staten Island ferry docks. It is just 20 minutes uptown to Times Square and Broadway or Grand Central where you can catch the Metro North along the Hudson River Line. Stop at quaint Victorian towns, do some antiquing, leaf peeking and explore the village where Hello Dolly was filmed.
Interior Furnishings: The owner of the house is a professional Interior Designer and has taken great effort to make the furniture and surroundings attractive, pleasing and comfortable. The rooms feature high ceilings, ceiling fans, wood floors and an arch between the front room and dining room. In the living room there is a open wood burning stove in the fireplace with free firewood, so that in the cooler months the guests can have a cozy fire to gaze at. In the summer there is a hugh 18,000 BTU air conditioner for the front rooms and each bedroom has an air conditioner.
The kitchen has been equiped with pots, pans, spices and many extras to help you parpare great meals for your family.
All the furniture is period or antique except the new queen bed and the sleeper sofa. The kitchen has been remodeled with wood cabinets, a fresh composit counter top for the work area, new appliances and a dishwasher. The fluffy towels and natural fiber bed linens are of the best quality.

It is only a 10 minute walk to the free ferry to Manhattan. With the sounds of the bells of 175 year old St. Peter's Church you will have a daily, beautiful experience. The house is just blocks from the Staten Island Museum and 2 miles from Sailors Snug Harbor Cultural Center with it's famous Chinese Ming Garden, live theater and summer concerts.
