This lovely two bedroom, two bath unit sleeps six and is on the third floor of the Surfside II complex. It has a view of the Gulf of Mexico from the Master Bedroom, and large covered balcony and is across the street from the beach. This unit was recently remodeled with all new furnishings flooring and paint,and updated again in May 2009. Amenities include: King size select comfort bed in the master bedroom, Bunk Bed with 1 twin and 1 full bed in the second bedroom, Sofa converts to bed in living room, 500 thread count bedding, Flat Screen televisions and DVD players in all rooms including a 32' flat screen TV in the living room, Playstation II in Kids room (bring your own games), Kitchen is fully equipped and furnished with all new cookware, dishes, and silverware, Free Hi Speed Wireless Internet, Free domestic long distance calling, In-Unit Washer and Dryer, Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi, Furnished with bedding, and bath towels.

Aside from the gorgeous Gulf beaches and Laguna Madre fishing, boating, surfing, swimming, there are many more things to see and do. Moderate temperatures make this a perfect climate for year round golfing, horse back riding on the beach and walking/biking on the island. Did we mention the gorgeous Gulf beaches. Take time to enjoy the natural and pristine beauty of the white sandy beaches at the north tip of the island! Please see the SPI convention center on the north side. Be sure to visit the Schlitterbahn Water park Resort for kids of all ages. Have a drink at the swim up bar while the kids blast through whitewater rapids or float on the lazy river.

Since You Are This Close - Bring Your Passport Take time for an international day in Mexico!Drive a few minutes into Brownsville, cross over the bridge from Brownsville and you are in Matamoros, Mexico! Enjoy the open air markets. Also, Nuevo Progreso (Progreso to locals) is approximately one hour west toward McAllen, Texas and is reported to have some nicer shopping and dining areas. There is an international bridge in Progreso with walkways on each side to allow for parking on either side of the border.
