Beautiful lakefront chalet-style vacation home with spectacular views, fireplace and jacuzzi in a community with two outdoor pools and one indoor pool; it is located in the Wallenpaupack Lake area in beautiful Lake Ariel, PA which is about 2 hours from New York City. Unlike other lake fronts which place you up hills and long walking distances to the lake, we are Right On one of the smaller lakes....you will wake up and look out your windows to beautiful close-up views of the beautiful lake. The door is literally steps to the dock and not down steep hills either! Unlike being on the 'big' lake (Wallenpaupack) which allows powerboats and jet skis, our lake is a non-power boating lake which means No waking up to noisy boat motors and the ZZZZ of jet skis!! We accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover cards as payment, but not American Express, sorry.

    We charge a fee of $170/wk ($145/weekend) which includes cleaning & community's rental fee of $50/renter.

    The rate info provided here is only for NON-HOLIDAY vacation times. If you are interested in a Holiday rate, please contact us and we will quote you a rate.

    We accept Visa and MasterCard.

    Renters will be required to pay a deposit of $500 in order to hold your reservation. The balance will be due in full THREE MONTHS prior to your arrival. Once you arrive, your deposit monies become your Security Deposit of $500 which will be returned within 30 days of departure and after our handyman and/or cleaning crew determines that the property was left in it's original condition and when the key has been returned to us.
  • We also charge a cleaning/community fee of $170/wk ($145/weekend) which includes cleaning & community's rental fee of $50/renter.   • The three bedrooms each have closets, individually-controllable electric heat and air conditioners. Two of the bedrooms are on the first floor and the third bedroom is on the second floor. The loft, which is on the 2nd floor, has two queen size futons. The guest room on the lower level (game room also on this level, as is the spa) also has two queen size futons. We ask that all guests bring their OWN linens and bath towels. All beds are QUEEN size. All other necessities are on site at the house. For families with small children, we do provide a pack n' play and a high chair for your convenience.

Notes: There is a canoe and a paddle boat for renters to enjoy as well as several inflated kayaks. There are Adirondack chairs by the lake as well as a chimney for cool nights and smores. On the deck, there are two tables and cushioned seating for 8 people and a gas grill. It is wheelchair accessible, but may not be in the winter if there is heavy snow. The driveway leads downhill from the road and usually the snowplow is able to clear the snow adequately, but sometimes they cannot get it all which would require renters to park at the top of the driveway (there is a parking spot right on the side of the road) and walk down, and this would make the home not wheelchair accessible.

Renter Requirements:

Renters must be 30 years of age or older and we will require photocopies of drivers licenses to ensure compliance with this rule. Families with children are the only exceptions to this rule. There is NO smoking in the house. NO CATS are allowed, EVER.

Community:

For summer renters, there are two outdoor pools....There is a nice lodge at the nearby pool which offers games for kids & teens. There are tennis courts at this pool area which must be reserved in advance at the main office. There is also an indoor pool which is about 5 minutes drive and there is schedule of times that it is open. All community amenities require badges which we will provide to renters.Fishing: there is ample opportunity to do so and the fishing is great in all three lakes (Lake Wallenpaupack is the BIG lake, and the two smaller lakes in our community are called Deer Lake & Beaver Lake, which are both NON-power-boating lakes). If you wish to fish, you MUST get fishing licenses to do so (adults). It is a simple process and it is very inexpensive, but it could cost a lot of money if you fail to have one and get caught fishing without it! Please contact owner for website where you can purchase your fishing license.

There are is a nearby ski area: Sno Mountain. Sno Mountain is fairly new, used to be called Montage Mountain but was purchased and they changed the name. It's an outstanding mountain which has a great ski instruction program which is wonderful for children. It is about 20 minute drive from the house. its a wonderful life!!

This was an absolutely wonderful weekend. We took three couples with children and we had a spectacular time. The snow, the lake, the views, the deer etc. Most importantly John and Eileen were the kindest people before during and after. I will do this again and again and looking forward to bonding with family and friends. I urge people to take the time to do something like this just to get some peace and calm and put the everything behind them for a few days.

A great vacation home!

We were very pleased with your beautiful home, and all the amenities you make available. The home was very clean. It offered everything you promised, and more. The photos acurately depict the various rooms, etc, but do not do it justice. It is more beautiful in person!
You responded quickly to questions, and went out of your way to be helpful. Our only complaints were 1) the volume on the TV in the main living area was not loud enough to comfortably hear over the A/C, esp certain channels, and 2) that we couldn't stay longer than we did!

You can't help but feel relaxed

The owners are super friendly and quick to respond to any emails sent with questions.

The over all feel of the place was relaxation. The hot tub was fantastic. The house was so clean and the lake as the back drop, perfection ... it's even better then the photos listed in this add. And the photos are a perfect description. We didn't get a chance to check out the Community Center, instead we went to the Mount Airy Casino which other then the spa service none of us liked at all. We would have much rather spent the time just hanging out at the house.

We were 3 couples and could have easily and comfortable added 2 more. Plenty of bathrooms.

We had a great time here and can't wait to plan another trip back.

Everything was perfect.

Could everything be perfect for a getaway? Definitely YES, if you experience this place. Beautiful location, great house. We enjoyed a lot during the weekend. You do not need to bring anything with you except food. You will find anything you need in the house. The owner is a very kind person.

The lake house was beautiful and our family had a wonderful weekend. Thank you for all the special touches throughout your home. The view was awesome ! Your home was everything you stated and more. We are already planning a return visit. The homeowners provided any and all information we would need which was very helpful as well.
