Lie in bed and watch for whales cruising by while sipping a cup of morning coffee. This upscale property was designed to assure all guests the utmost in privacy in elegant Mexican traditional surroundings. Poolside, there is a swim up bar, outdoor restroom and Mexican style bar/cocina with a gas grill. Perfect gathering place for friends and loved ones. Perfect compound for a romantic get-a-way, friends/family reunion, beachfront Mexican yoga retreat or Mexican beachfront wedding.

The best of all worlds, Troncones is a sleepy village with world class restaurants (yes, two boast US culinary trained owners/chefs), happy, friendly beach restaurants/bars with seasonal traditional Mexican dancing shows and specialty events. A population of about 800 Mexican nationals, Americans, Canadians and Europeans living in harmony. On warm, moonlit nights we can still see endangered sea turtles laying their eggs on our never crowded beach. The resort town of Ixtapa and the charming fishing town of Zihuatanejo are south about 20 - 30 minutes. One of the premier surfing spots in the world!

Peaceful Relaxing Holiday!!

We stayed at Casa de la Sirena for 10 days in April 2009 (2 adults and one 3 yr old).

We had the top floor of the mini villa and it served us well. The views were beautiful and the constant crashing waves were soothing to put us all to sleep.

The casa is not high end, but has everything you need for a relaxing comfortable stay. If we needed anything, there was always a staff member around to help us out with a smile.

Our days were spent between playing on the beach and splashing aorund in the pool with swim up bar!! We had the entire grounds to ourselves, so it was a true retreat with no intrusions from the outside world. We bought fresh produce from the local stores (much better produce than what we bought from the big market in ZIH). We used the outdoor BBQ a lot.

Humberto was always there to help out and answer any questions we had. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet holiday around without the intrusions of the real world. Troncones is far enough away where you can feel like you've had a break, but close enough to Ixtapa/ZIH if you need any of life comforts.

Thanks to Debra for building a beautiful place for my family to experience together. We will recommend this place to our friends and family and hope to make a return visit.
