Lovely House

We just returned from spending 5 nights at this charming home in Ludlow Village. The house was very clean, comfortable and cozy for a small family ski trip. We were all pleasantly surprised with the spaciousness of this home. The pictures do not do it justice.
The kitchen and separate dinette area was large and easy for many of us to be working in it at the same time. Since we keep kosher, we ate all our meals in the house using all our own cookware and utensils. However, the kitchen cabinets did look well stocked with pleny of glassware, dishes, silver, pots, etc. for any one using them. The livingroom also was larger than the pictures revealed and it extended directly into the den which had seating as well. The pellet stove in the corner of the livingroom kept the room warm and cozy. Off the kitchen was the second full bathroom and large mudroom with washer and dryer. This area provided plenty of space to store all the ski bags and equipment so as not to clutter the house. There was also a back door here for access to cars so you didn't get the floors wet coming in through the front door.
The two twin rooms upstairs, although small, did have room in them to open the flip out futon chair if a child needed to sleep on it. There was a small TV in one of the twin rooms. The master bedroom, which was on the opposite end of the hall from the two twin rooms, was larger than expected and very nice with a large TV in it. In addition, there was a double sized futon couch and desk in the alcove outside of the upstairs bathroom. All the pillows and mattresses were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels and extra linens, blankets and pillows provided.
Cell service was good as well as internet access was available throughout the house which made it easy for the kids to use their ipods where ever they were!!! Although we did not use them, there were plenty of board games in a cabinet.
Be aware that the wood stairs are very slippery when walking in socks and a few of us almost fell and had to catch ourselves from sliding down them!!! WEAR SHOES!!!
The house is located on the first parallel street to the main street of Ludlow (right behind the old mill condos) which makes it very convenient to get to the mountain or for shopping and walking into town.
The homeowners were very gracious and nice to deal with both through emails and phone calls. We hope to return again when we need a house of this size.
