Away From the Hustle and Bustle: Our cabin is close to the end of a cove where you may leave the sounds of the city and hear the wonderful sounds of nature. Our cove is a nesting spot for loons and we see many ducks and birds each day, including bald eagles. GREAT HONEYMOON CABIN!! This would be a great place for a special 'Father and Son' week or weekend. Also good for small retreat groups. Read our log containing thoughts and comments from those who have stayed with us. We have wonderful guests who have really enjoyed their stay. Write your own thoughts during your stay.
On The Lake: A Canoe and paddle boat are included. Life Jackets will be provided. You will need a fishing license for anyone over 12 years old. You may purchase a license on a weekday at Otis Town Hall or you may find one at various stores in Ellsworth. You may also purchase a license online before you arrive by going to (maine.gov ) then look under (Online Services )and click on( Fishing License/permits. ) You will find (Moses) which is where you purchase and print out your license. CATCH A BIG ONE!!!
Fun nearby: Also in Acadia (45 mins.) there is a great place to play miniature golf (Pirates Cove) with a hole to play on a pirate ship and under a waterfall. There is also a small water slide park and go-cart rides. Just 30 minutes away in Brewer, there is also a miniature golf and go-cart park. Also in Brewer is a Super Walmart and Ruby Tuesday's, along with many other restaurants and grocery stores. Special Events for 2008: Bar Harbor Music Festival - Jun 28 Thru Jul 27th. Everyone loves the view and the comfort of the cabin. Though it is an old camp, it is very charming and we have tried to make it a great place to spend quality time. Our renters have really enjoyed swimming in the clear water and they have loved the time spent in the canoe and paddle boat. We look forward to each and every family that becomes our guest.
