Each bedroom has cable TV and the family room has entertainment center with CD/DVD library. Coffer table holds board games for the family.

Pine mountain forest surrounds our home where you can nature hike. Take a short drive to the resort town of Pinetop and shop for antiques or dine in one of our fine restaraunts. Hon Dah resort and casino is 2 miles away and Sunrise Ski Resort is a 35 mile from our home. The Apache historical ruins are a must see or take a drive to the petrified forest.

Mountain lakes offer the best bass and trout fishing with wildlife watching.

The Pinetop/Lakeside Country Club is an 18 hole beautiful golf course and driving range within a short walk from our vacation home. They also have tennis courts and a fine dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Call them for tee times.

Hon Dah Casino and Resort: If you want nightlife and casino gambling Han Dah Casino is 2 miles from our vacation home.

Ski and Sunrise Ski Resort: 35 minutes to fantastic skiing and playing in the snow. Ski lifts open during the winter months.

Pinetop Resort has lots of activities and dining from McDonalds fast food to fine dining restaraunts like Charlie Clark's Steakhouse. There is a family activity center in town with go-carts and arcade and a 4 plex theatre to enjoy the latest movies. Antique shops are everywhere and you will spend a full day shopping. The Safeway store is a mile away for all your grocery needs, they even have a Starbuck's coffee shop. Woodland lake is close by with hiking trail around the lake, trout fishing and a playground with picnic tables for the little ones.

Pinetop is a wonderland in Winter, Summer months provide the cool temperatures at 7,000 feet above the desert heat. Spring and Fall bring the changes of seasons for fishing and watching wildlife.

About Gary Van Derford - Owner

We fell in love with the White Mountains of Arizona and frequent Pinetop with our family and friends throughout the year.

We work in the professional services in San Diego, Calif. and this is our primary residence. Our hope is to provide a well appointed home with all the conveniences you would experience in your own home. We are very selective to who we rent our home to and hope those who rent from us will give it the care and consideration so others will be able to enjoy for many years to come.

We are located in the Pinetop/Lakeside Country Club Estates area. 18 hole golf course with driving range and tennis courts are within a short walk from our vacation home. Hon Dah Casino is a 2 mile drive from our home for nightlife entertainment. Sunrise Ski Resort is a 30 mile drive to downhill skiing, snowboarding and tubing for the kids.

The city of Pinetop is 1 mile from our home for all your grocery and shopping needs.

The place was great! Four of us stayed there in January. The location was easy to find. Nice area. The property was clean, spacous and has been well maintained. We had intended on sking , the drive to SunRise was an easy 35 minutes, the snow had become packed and a little to icey for us to ski. However, we did play in the snow, visisted some of the antique stores, and had a great time relaxing, cooking, and playing games. I would like to see the Check out time be at 11:00am versus 10:00am to get up eat, pack and get out by 10 was a little rushed.
We will definately will keep this property in mind when we visit this area again.

My college aged sons, one girl friend, my husband and I spent a long weekend skiing at Sunrise Ski Resort. Four Bear Lodge was the perfect retreat after long days of skiing. Warm, comfortable very clean surroundings, with a fire place, made our stay very inviting. Our contact, Gary, provided excellent customer service. He was easily accessable at any hour. The Four Bear Lodge has all the home items you need (other than food), to make your stay a comfortable one. Try it! I guarantee you will like it!
