The Hideaway has all the comforts of home in this secluded ( non-development) two story true log cabin with porches on both levels, lower 27'x39' deck, high speed Internet access, widescreen flat panel LCD/ HDTVs in the Game Room & main level family room, TV in queen bedroom, Premium HDTV Cable package, movies, four in one game table, X-Box & 17 games and even a treadmill. The downstairs Game Room, bedroom with KING size bed and master bath gives the young adults the privacy to play the night away, listen to music, watch TV or relax in the hot tub while listening to the sounds of nature and the nearby stream. Enjoy frequent sightings of deer and wild turkey while relaxing on the porch swings, or hiking the nearby Benton MacKay Trail. The property is located on 2.5 acres.

We Had A Wonderful Vacation!!: My husband, Bobby, just returned from a three month deployment to the Middle East. We came up here because we wanted some quality family time, and I needed a change of scenery. We got that and much more. This trip provided us the opportunity to bond as a family and heal from our time apart before we establish new routines and everyday life grabs hod of us again. The view is breathtaking!! The cabin is warm and cozy. We took the Blue Ridge Scenic Train and we hiked the Stanley Gap and Benton MacKaye Trails. We loved the water fall and picnicked there. We hiked to the stream near the cabin and we spent time in the hot tub after the kids went to bed. Our stay was just what you would expect from a mountain getaway! Bobby and Jenn

We Had a Wonderful Honeymoon!!: Thank you so much for everything. We had a wonderful honeymoon!!! You have given us such wonderful memories for our honeymoon!! We needed a relaxing getaway close to Atlanta where we could spend a few nights, and this cabin exceeded our expectations. The view is spectacular and your house is beautiful. Alan loved watching the morning mist roll through the mountains and I loved drinking coffee on the porch and watching the sun rise. You have quite a gem here!!!: We love your cabin. You have quite a gem here. For years I have wanted to rent a cabin and decided my 40th birthday would be a great reason. We read, enjoyed the 'frothy' hot tub, drank some wine and went on nature hikes. The star gazing was spectacular. We spent the evenings on the deck wrapped in blankets and counted stars. The full moon was breathtaking as it moved across the mountains. The kids LOVED the pool table, air hockey, ping pong etc. We would love to come back! Antler Ridge Hideaway is a MUST STAY!

The house was everything the ad says it is and more. The view of the mountains is breathtaking. The house is secluded on the side of the mountain which makes for a romantic getaway. Very clean and included nice amenities such as a Hot Tub!, flat screen HDTV, gas grill, pool table, which we all used!

The cabin is very close to a lot of good hiking and waterfalls. This is a great place for a romantic peaceful weekend or for the adventure seeker.

Everything was perfect about this cabin and its location! We enjoyed seeing the beautiful views, deer and wild turkeys. The decks are fantastic to relax and soak in the tranquility of nature and forget about work and other things at home that keep us busy.

Sandy Powell provided us with very helpful information about activities and restaurants.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your cabin and thank you for your hospitality.

Best Cabin Vacation Ever

We can only echo what everyone else has said. The cabin was exactly as advertised. Immaculately clean, adorably decorated, cozy yet spacious, comfortable beds and furniture, incredible view, lots of fun stuff to do. Nice little amenities like lap blankets, extra pillows, super thick towels, and washer/dryer. Even in the rain we could sit out on the porch or on the deck under the porch and stay dry, so though it rained almost the whole week we didn't feel couped up. The drive up the mountain was a little scary but we made it fine with a V-4 compact car. Also, the stairs between upstairs and down are VERY steep (though can also use outside steps which are much less so) so something to be aware of for a family with babies/toddlers or anyone who has trouble with stairs. All in all, highly recommended and we can't wait to go back.

Awesome place to breath in God's creation!

We had a wonderful time at Hideaway cabin! The cabin is located in a rural location that gives great privacy and the feeling of seclusion. It had everything we needed for comfort and entertainment...the beds were very comfortable and our son loved the Xbox & pool table, not to mention the relaxing hot tub.
Blue Ridge is a quaint little town with lots of character and great shops. We visited the waterfalls (beautiful!) and went tubing one day...that was a blast! Apple orchards are everywhere so we bought fresh apples and peaches to bring home with us.

All in all, we spent most of our time in the cabin and exploring the woods around it...star gazing too. We will certainly be back and have already recommended it to several of our friends. Ms Sandy, expect some phone calls! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Total Relaxation Bliss!

We just got back from a wonderful week at "The Hideaway". Two couples with the husbands having a great time on their motorcycles traveling the beautiful winding mountain roads and taking a couple of days to play golf on one of the nearby golf courses.
The girls brought our sewing machines and worked on our quilts, read a couple of the great books available and just reeee-laxxxxed and enjoyed the peace and quiet and the breathtaking view from the comfort of the front porch swing or rockers.
We all took a couple of trips into the nearby towns for a little sightseeing, dinners and some shopping. Enjoyed the antique mall and the quilt shop too.
But preferred to stay comfy and cozy at the cabin just kicking back. Playing games, poker or watching movies together at night.
Everything we needed was there. We grilled steaks one night on the grill and had a visitor or two that came sniffing around the grill later that night. We saw the bear tracks all over the deck the next morning!! Cool!!

Three tv's, internet access, hot tub, grill....most anything you think you'll need is there, but maybe the best thing is just the peace and beauty and having the perfect place to just not do anything at all!
This was the most relaxing vacation we've had in so long and it was much needed and enjoyed.
Thanks so much Sandy and Al!! You've truly thought of everything!! What a blessing it was.
