Ali’I Regency (in honor of the last queen of Hawaii, “Queen Emma”) invites you to enjoy a beautiful resort experience. Situated within the prestigious Poipu-Kai resort on the South Shore of Kauai, featuring 70 acres of tropical gardens. It is just a short walk through the resort grounds to Shipwreck beach or Poipu Beach Park (a snorkeler’s paradise). The resort has nine tennis courts. There is a shop for all your tennis needs, including rentals. After the game relax in one of the Jacuzzi spas or swimming pools. You can barbecue your “catch of the day” in one of the well maintained grills near the pool. Accommodations: This beautiful, airy condominium (1438 square feet of living space) is furnished as a complete vacation home. Our “Hale” (home) features a master bedroom with king sized bed, private full bathroom with double sinks. The guest bedroom features 2 single beds and a guest bathroom. The loft features 2 single beds and a half bathroom. Single beds can be converted into kings.

Next to Brennecke beach is Poipu Beach Park, rated the best beach in North America for four years running. It features a sheltered “baby beach” for toddlers and parents, a fully equipped children’s playground, and a great snorkeling and swimming beach with every variety of tropical fish usually only seen in aquariums. Golf: There are two championship 18-hole courses available near the resort: The Kihuana Golf Course and the prestigious Poipu Bay Resort Course. Guests need to arrange with the individual courses for tee times. Within driving distance are several other courses in Princeville, Kalaheo, and Kapaa.

Restaurants: Brennecke's restaurant is a great place for lunch or dinner at the beach; good burgers, fish and drinks. They have a great crab meal for dinner. Don’t forget Lapperts’ ice cream for a real treat. It’s fresh made in Hanapepe and definitely a landmark destination. They are located in Koloa and throughout the island. When you want to get dressed up and go to a really nice restaurant there are three at the Hyatt resort next door that are definitely world class. It's just east down Poipu Rd. from the condo. Incidentally getting dressed up in Kauai for a guy entails a nice pair of shorts and a breezy Hawaiian shirt and sandals. The ladies usually wear something slinky and cool with heels. Get her a nice lei for the occasion (Star Market or in Koloa at the Big Save). We really enjoy the Hyatt’s Ilima Terrace restaurant (especially Sunday brunch), but there are two others just as nice: Dondero's (fine Italian food) and Tidepools (seafood).

Golf: There are two championship 18-hole courses available near the resort: The Kihuana Golf Course and the prestigious Poipu Bay Resort Course. Guests need to arrange with the individual courses for tee times. Within driving distance are several other courses in Princeville, Kalaheo, and Kapaa.

We had a wonderful stay on Poipu Beach in this well-kept condominium. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed to settle in. The living area is furnished comfortably. It's close enough to the beach to walk. The grounds are gorgeous. My only complaint is it is close to the main road so you do get a little bit of road noise in the afternoon.

Regency at Poipu Kai condo

The property was more than expected. The location is perfect, close to the Hyatt and a great beach for snorkeling. The condo was huge, very clean and the exterior was well maintained. The fully equipped kitchen even included small appliances. Washer and dryer inside the condo was a great asset. The condo is very quiet, breezy and relaxing with great views of the mountains.The parking was right in front of the property and easy access to the main road. Centrally located to golf, shops, airport, Waimea Canyon and Fern Grotto. The owners were very accommodating. Wireless internet worked flawlessly and the two televisions were great. Second floor location gave cool gentle breezes and there were absolutely no mosquitoes. The beds were very comfortable and there were lots of extra bedding and linens. The beach equipment worked out great. Definitely would recommend to friends and family. Expect to return often.
