Great location.
House was not clean.
Renters need to bring all linens, bedding and towels etc etc. We were driving so not a problem but what would those flying do?
Had to bring everything, not stocked with even general amentities, including a coffee pot (there was one there but tiny motel sized and DIRTY).
Just a few glasses and cups in the kitchen and no bar glasses at all.
Overall impression- owners of the property are obvioulsy new at renting out their property and need to prepare and provide alot more than they do if they wish to have repeat customers. We loved the location but would not rent that property again nor recommend it.
Owner's Response: This is in response to Womben - I am very unhappy that the renters did not call me with any concerns. I have my name and phone numbers posted on the side of the refrigerator along with various instructions for the house. It clearly states to call me with any problems or concerns. If I had been made aware of the problems that are mentioned I would have immediately corrected them such as calling the cleaning company but I was not afforded this opportunity. I even have friends at my disposal that live full time just 10 camps away that could have taken care of anything that was needed. My husband and I flew up to the property from Florida just weeks before this rental to make sure everything was ready for the season. We purchased a new microwave and stocked the house with cleaners, soap, paper towels, etc.and we have pots, pans, silver ware, toaster, bowls, lobster pot, etc, etc. I am at a loss as which basis amenities we are missing. It was also mentioned that we did not have bar glasses. What wasn't mentioned is that we dont have a bar and that there is at least 12 cups and 12 glasses along with the full set of dishes. As for the linens it states on our site that they are not included. This is common rental procedure as there would be no way for the cleaning crew to wash/dry 7 beds in the time between renters. When we send the contract we make sure every one knows how many beds and what to bring and this person was aware of this prior to renting. This rental is our personal vacation home and we take it very serious. We went over the items needed to make a persons vacation a happy time and felt sure that we had prepared the house accordingly. We feel sure that this is a great house and location that will provide for a very memorable vacation experience.
