This remodeled artist's studio boasts old beams, cathedral ceiling and skylights. It is located in Kennebunk's historic shipbuilding district, halfway between Kennebunk & Kennebunkport on the second floor of attached barn in a civil war era cape. This fully furnished open concept loft with living, dining, fully equipped kitchen, full bath and romantic loft bedroom is ideal for exploring the Kennebunks or just relaxing and snuggling up. Heat, air conditioning, cable TV, VCR, high speed Internet access and reading library will complement your stay as will your own private entrance, parking area and lawn with table and grill. In the evening, take a short stroll down to the Kennebunk River and view the beautiful sunsets or better yet, bring your canoe and paddle down the river. We are just a couple of miles away from the Kennebunk beaches and shopping in Dock Square, Kennebunkport. Nature centers, museums, theme parks are also just a short drive away. Free shuttle to beaches in season.

The owners made us fell at home.
The loft was romantic, confortable and a few minutes from the sea.
We enjoyed the neighbourghoud: beautiful trees, farms, fresh products: vegetables and fish.
We have visited all the villages on the coast, shopped in the nearest outlets and walked for hours on the beaches.
Seeing Kennebunk in winter is our next trip !

We echo what others have said; we had a fantastic time here in August 2009. The owners thought of every detail to make our stay relaxing, convenient and fun. They were extremely gracious hosts, but also respected our privacy. The location is excellent: a short drive to the beach and a peaceful retreat. The loft is warm and friendly, exceptionally well maintained, and a great place to spend some lazy summer evenings. We can't wait to return!

Loved our stay ! The owners are extremely nice and gentle people.
Everything we needed was at hand. The location was much better than anticipated, close to everything. We are a family of four
(2 kids), never felt crowded. We highly recommend renting this beautifully kept haven of peace. Thank you for a wonderful time!

This is a beautiful, unique loft apartment, in a great location in southern Maine, minutes from villages, shopping, playgrounds, the beach, nature preserves.... The hosts are warm and welcoming, but also give vacationers their privacy. My preschooler and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We had a grand time.
