Summer cottage located in Jamestown Rhode Island on Beavertail. Unique vintage 1929 cottage on a 60+ acre farm with open fields (alfalfa & clover used for local dairy cows). Stone walls slope down to the water. Completely private beach on property and within a short walk to Mackerel Cove beach. Spectacular sunset water views (of Dutch Island and Watson Farm) and amazing privacy. Unbelievable bird watching on the property: Ospreys, Harriers, Red-Tails, Kestrels, Great Horned Owls, Merlins, Bobolinks, and many shore birds. Two king sized bedrooms, 1 bunk room, 1 daybed (can be a king or twins) and 2 pull-out sofas in living room. Ideal set - up for 2 couples, 2 - 4 kids. Plasma 42-in TV, DVD player, cable, wireless Internet! Fireplace for nights after being in the water all day. Fantastic private wedding site which would be +additional fee based on number of people and how many nights of events etc.. Vendors need to be pre-approved and port-o'potties supplied for more than 15 peopl

Local restaurants are 2 minute drive. Newport is a 10 minute drive, 30 minutes drive to Providence and 20 minute drive to S. Kingston train station. Block Island ferry is 20 minute drive - perfect for wonderful day trip. So many activities so close! Fishing & beach combing on property are amazing, body-surfing, surfing (for experts at secret local spot), windsurfing, biking, golf, scuba-diving, tennis all very close. Mansion tours, tennis tournaments, world class sailing, fun shopping, great restaurants and the list could go on!

  • Cleaning is optional during stay.
  • All deposits and half rental are due upon reservation. Security deposit: $1000.00 and remainder rent are due one month prior to arrival.
    Weekends are not an option during in season - June 18 - Sept 10. Weekly rentals only.
  • Wedding site fee is additional to weekly rental to be determined based on number of people and how many days/eves events there would be. In season is ONE WEEK MINIMUM rental unless last minute and there are not any bookings. Off season - four day rentals would be considered.
