This large lodge home is great for large families or groups. The cottage was built around the beginning of the 1900's as part of the Forest Lodge Colony and covers 3 1/2 wooded acres on Long Lake. Long Lake is one of the most sought after lakes in Traverse City and perfect for swimming, fishing, water skiing, boating and more. Start your day with a dip in the lake, take a sail around one of the four islands, take a try at water skiing. 152 feet of private lake frontage (about a 2 minute walk from the cottage) consists of a gradually sloping sand bottom with dockand boat mooring. However, the most outstanding feature of the waterfront is the vista. The western exposure provides incredible sunsets - views of loons, herons, and eagles. Enjoy your lunch down by the lake at the picnic table, toast the beautiful sunset with your favorite beverage and finish your day watching the shooting stars. Bring your own motor boat or rent one to put in the provided boat mooring. Quiet, relaxing and gorgeous - what more could you ask for!
