Cottage, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

A traditional, Michigan, lakefront cottage on a bluff 6 miles north of Rogers City. This cozy cottage accommodates 4 - 6 people with most amenities. Great beach walks, sunrises and sunsets. Located only 3/4 mile from the 40 Mile Point Light House. Good fishing, swimming, boating, hiking, cross country skiing, are just outside your door. The private wooded setting is entered through a 300' paved driveway.

The spectacular views of Lake Huron are breath taking. Relax on the multi-tiered deck overlooking the lake and watch the Great Lake freighters or explore the beautiful beach front and search for that Lake Huron stone that may entice your love of nature. Ride or walk the 8 mile paved bike path along the water front to Calsite - the world's largest limestone mine. Explore the Rogers City marina or golf the Country Club.

Bring your own bicycles or use mine. Two classic road bikes, one mountain bike and one road bike provided for use on the bike path to and from Rogers City.

Why Chris Kurowski chose Millersburg

I purchase this cottage in 1998 for my family to enjoy and get away from our busy schedule. In 2006 my wife passed away and my kids moved to a new life thereafter on the west coast. The cottage rather than be an vacant nice place is now a year round home to anyone interested in wanting to enjoy the outdoors or just relax to their own schedule. Most guests return the following year for they have confirmed Relaxation on Lake Huron is just what says it is.

What makes this cottage unique

The great view of the water is unbeatable. Just terrific. You will be awed. If you like walks down the beach you will always remember this one. The 40 Mile Point light house is just 3/4 of a mile north and it will entertain your interest. Bicycling, walking, running, or just loafing will be energized with the possibilities presented. A 10 mile paved path that boarders the water and winds through some of the forests will open your mind to the beauty of Michigan.

Perfect Cottage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cottage had all the comforts of home, was spotless and very private. Our vacation was very relaxing, watching daily sunrises, bike rides and dog walks on the nearby bike path...breathtaking scenery...a lighthouse and State Park within walking distance...Rogers City is an 8 minute car ride away and the locals are very friendly and helpful. The beach was very quiet..we enjoyed the relaxing solitude...leaving our cares behind...an absolute perfect getaway. Thank you for listing on VRBO!

Great spot on Lake Huron

Everything was great, my sister-in-law said it was a great choice. We took our lawn chairs and sat in the lake one afternoon, listened to the waves at night.. We ventured into Alpena and Presque Isle and visited the Calcite quarry just south of Rogers City. We used the barbecue and had steaks one night. All in all a very relaxing time.

Delight at Lake Huron

The cottage, as described, was clean, welcoming, delightfully furnished. Everything worked properly, the grounds were informal and relaxing. The area is great,with Lake Huron at the bottom of the hill, a fun bakery down the bike path,a lighthouse 1/2 a mile away. Our only disappointment was that there was an unusual invasion of biting flies that kept us inside and off the beach. Locals assured us that this was highly unusual. Even so, I would recommend this property to anyone looking for relaxation and a slowed down, easy pace.

Comfortable Home Very Cozy!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary summer of 2011 and it was perfect! It felt like we had our own special house on the lake to escape to. We used the bikes every morning to ride to the bakery down the road or into town for breakfast. After our bike rides we would come home, jump in the lake and in the evenings we had a fire outside..just exactly what we wanted and needed. The owner was very helpful and adaptable and keeps his place in great condition. Hope we can come back again this year!

Perfect Getaway Vacation

The week we spent at this house on Lake Huron was quiet, relaxing and a great take-off point for all things Northeast Michigan. The cabin is in a perfect location for road trips from Lake Huron across to Lake Michigan. We were there during the Lighthouse Festival Week and the weather was perfect for fall touring. The house was cozy and the beach was my favorite to wade in the water, walk in the sand and rock hunt. (Tons of fossils too!) The washer and dryer were a plus as was the gas grill for the smoked Brats bought locally in Rogers City. Thank you for listing your property on VRBO. It is a gem.
