Great Location, Great Price!

We wanted to hike and mountain bike in Dupont State Forest and this was a great place to stay, it's within a couple minutes of all the Dupont trail heads and attraction points. The property was beautiful and the cabin was really nice! I highly recommend and will stay here again myself!

Awesome cabin

  • 5 of 5

My fiancée and I wanted a relaxing weekend getaway. This place was perfect. The cabin was so nice and clean. The property is very well cared for. We loved playing scrabble in front of the fireplace. We kept the fire going all weekend. We cooked most of our meals, the kitchen has everything you need. We hiked to Hooker Falls, Triple Falls, and High Falls. All three were unbelievable. We also went to see "The Pretty Place". You don't want to miss that, it was so beautiful. We made a trip into Brevard, a cool little town, and then visited downtown Asheville on our way home. It was the perfect getaway.

Wow ........................

When you first drive up you realize it's everything you were expecting and then some. The grounds are extremely well kept and the cabin is very clean and cozy. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, just bring food (and wine). Plenty of towels and beds are comfortable. Quiet, peaceful, didn't even leave one day, just hung out and enjoyed the pond and property. Hope to visit again soon.

Wonderful getaway "gem"

  • 5 of 5

We have been visiting DuPont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest for about five years now. For the past 4 years we have spent our Thanksgiving Holiday in the area. Previous years we have stayed in a hotel, this year we decided to try and rent a cabin. While searching I came across the "gem in the forest". This discription does not do justice to what it really is. There was7 of us and we had plenty of room. It was exactly what we were looking for a nice neat clean cabin tucked away in the woods. We spend most of our time hiking to the waterfalls in the area and just enjoying the out doors. When we were at the cabin there was plenty to do, from books to read, games to play or just sitting around the fire talking about our day or memories of the past. My wife and I plan on returning sometime soon for a weekend getaway, we will also try to book again for next year for the family. We did not fish this time but did spend sometime around the pond watching the fish swim around. We had no problem getting a Honda accord up to the cabin. Again this "gem" was exactly what we were looking for, you can not go wrong with the "gem".

A TRUE "GEM" IN THE FOREST

  • 5 of 5

Words cannot express how wonderful this cabin is! It is truly a "gem" in the forest! Our family has visited over the last 10 years and try to visit as often as we can throughout the year. Our children are 10, 15 and 17. They have basically all grown up in "the cabin". Our most favorite family memories are being at Cedar Mountain. The cabin is awesome! It has every comfort you could possibly imagine. Just like home! There is enough space inside and outside for our family of 5 and more. There are games, puzzles, movies, books and magazines, plus let's not forget about the fishing! Delicious trout! We love the wood burning fireplace. The owners are amazing and have worked with us so many times when events have happened that are out of our control. They have always been gracious and kind and willing to help us anyway they could. Our kids love the loft area! The porch area is amazing! If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world and enjoy great family time together, this is the place to go. It has been such a blessing to our family, and we thank God for the opportunity to be able to spend time in this cabin! It's our favorite vacation spot!
