Nice location

This apartment is near a river garden walk, promenade, and large park. Our landlord arranged a taxi service from the airport. He was personable and friendly and was accomodating when we asked for something. We took the subway into Manhattan everyday after a 4 block bus ride to the subway station. This got a little tiring, but it was pretty easy. There are small grocery stores, drug stores, and small restaurants about 4 blocks away. We recommend a sushi restaurant on 3rd street. The apartment itself is not the one pictured in the ad, except for the bedroom photo. It had plenty of space for the 3 of us, although we didn't spend lots of time there. It looked freshly painted and relatively clean. Towels were inadequate, faucets leaked, and more cooking utensils like spatulas, sharp knives, and strainers are needed. We didn't cook many dinners, though. There was no sink plug, so all dishes had to be washed individually under running water with a used sponge. There was only 1 electrical outlet in the bathroom which was in the old light fixture. The blow dryer kept blowing a fuse, so we had to blow dry our hair in the kitchen with no mirror. We were pretty flexible (but annoyed). Many females would blow a gasket over this. The ceiling light fixtures need coverings, more lamps would help, and the cable TV needed attention. Some bed sheets had holes. The beds were quite comfortable and firm with nice pillows. I would only recommend this to a friend if he knew all the drawbacks and I thought he wasn't too picky.
