My wife and I completely endorse the other positive reviews here. This was a repeat visit for me, my wife and our two daughters, 13 and 10. We were last here 2 summers ago and stayed for a month. This time the visit was 9 days (too brief!). Jessica, who has been our email correspondent at Israel Vacation Homes, which rents the property, is a joy--completely responsive no matter how many questions we asked! The experience this summer was a replica of our last one--a comfortable apartment, complete with Wifi, TV and DVD player, as well as living room and dining areas and kitchen and two upstairs bedrooms. The best feature from our perspective is the back terrace, which has a dining table and chairs and is a wonderful place to eat breakfast and enjoy the ocean breezes. You also get your own indoor parking spot. The service is excellent--Liron is the local manager, was always a phone call away and handled our needs efficiently and warmly, including changing light bulbs.
The indoor pool is fun and the marvelous beach is just a couple of minutes' walk away. If we could add one thing, it would be an extra sink and a bit more space in the upstairs bathroom (the only one with a bath and shower-there's a powder room downstairs)--with 4 people, some timing is necessary! As others have mentioned, the square that the building faces has several restaurants and a good pizza place, as well as a small grocery store. The marina is about a 10-15 minute walk away, filled with restaurants and shopping on the water, and downtown Herzliya is bustling with stores and restaurants, about a 6 minute drive away. Don't miss Benedict's down the street for superb breakfast items all day long! Downtown Tel Aviv is only about a 15 minute drive away. For those who like working out, there's a superb full-featured gym there called Holmes Place where you can buy a temporary membership. We also recommend the health food store right across from the big SuperSol supermarket. It's got a huge selection of mouthwatering snacks, nuts, dried fruits, cereals, grains etc. All in all, this is a superb, cost-effective option for a comfortable, thoroughly enjoyable stay in Israel
