Nicely furnished but limited view

We stayed here and loved the condo. I felt very comfortable with our surroundings in and outside of our unit. Checking in was a total breeze, because you just go straight in your unit. The beaches were very crowded (mid July) and I would recommend reserving an umbrella and chairs prior to your days on the beach. It is well worth the money. We thought we would save money and bring our own but since the umbrellas and chairs of Summerwind take up sooo much room of the beach we had to walk quit a distance before we could put up our tent and chairs. Walking in the sand, carrying lots of beach gear, in 100 degree weather takes it's toll. lol
The inside of the condo was very clean and furnished very well. We loved how comfortable all the furniture was. If I could have changed one thing about the kitchen, I would ask the owners to make the pantry available to the guest. It is locked (along with 3 other small closets near the kitchen) and there was very limited space to put our groceries. They have a great coffee/espresso machine!!
The view to the west was a little disappointing. There is a large complex directly to the west of this unit and, since Summerwind is built back off the beach more, you can't really see much of anything from the balcony except what is straight ahead. The people staying in Regency, next door, can see right into your room and on your balcony.
A grocery store and fast food places are just a couple of miles away. Other dinning options were below average and only a few to choose from. In other words, plan on cooking or driving in to Pensacola Beach.
If you do rent this unit it is imperative that you double double check any and all correspondence from the rental company. Even if you think you have been 100% clear on what you want. They seem to have a problem with communication because they made two major mistakes on my contract that I did not notice until it was too late. One involved the rate I was quoted and one was my dates. Even after sending 3 emails with my dates that I wanted, they still booked the wrong dates. Very frustrating. So just make sure your contract says exactly what you want.
