Estes Park Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Enjoy breathtaking snow capped mountain views of the Mummy Range, Mount Meeker, and Twin Sisters from this beautifully decorated log home known as 'Moose Mountain Lodge'. This near new home is located on a 'very peaceful' 1.5 acre property with numerous ponderosa pines and rock outcroppings. Wildlife abounds, including elk, deer, coyotes, bobcats, and the occasional bear. The lodge boasts a floor to ceiling moss rock fireplace, log beams, vaulted wood ceilings, and floor to ceiling windows. Enjoy panoramic views of the snow capped Mummy Range from the kitchen and dining area; leather sofas in the great room; the spa; the log swing on the covered porch; and the log rockers, sofa, or log bed in the loft.

Moose Mountain is a wonderful 3 bedroom(2-queen, 1-double + sofa sleeper) 3 bath home, that offers great extras: a gas grill, wireless high speed internet, 46' HDTV, Dolby surround sound system, cable with HBO, DVD, CD, leather sofas, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and microwave oven, and a washer and dryer. A ping pong table on the lower level provides some friendly competitive action for guests. After hiking or snowshoeing adventures in Rocky Mountain, you'll really enjoy soaking in the hot tub and then curling up in front of the fire on the reclining sofas for a movie in surround sound.

Moose Mountain Lodge is furnished with antiques, log beds, quilts, books and board games, and original wildlife paintings for a true mountain lodge experience. A 400 sq. ft. covered porch, complete with log rockers and a log swing, as well as a separate deck with a 6 person hot tub provide incredible outdoor living areas. This very secluded property located in Estes Park is only minutes away from Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park. Moose Mountain offers so much, but it is truly the tranquility of the property that provides your perfect mountain get away.

Moose Mountain will steal your heart and leave you yearning for a return visit.

Randy and Mitzi –

Just a note to let you know that all went well with our stay at your home! We have enjoyed it very much and it was a very fun and different Christmas for the family and our two granddaughters (7 and 3yrs). The nine inches of snow that fell a day before we arrived was perfect and allowed for some sledding at the cabin and in the park. We enjoyed the table tennis also with a couple family tournaments! Overall things were just great and we’d definitely like to come back sometime. The girls enjoyed the deer and the whole herd of elk!

Hope you have a great 2012!

Thanks much,

D Z

WE'LL BE BACK!

We'll be back!
  • 5 of 5
After living all of our lives in the flat midwest, we decided we wanted to spend some time discovering the beauty of Colorado. This place was the perfect hideaway for our family and made us feel as though we were living in a different world! MML is remote and quiet enough to make it seem like you are the only one around (beside the elk, of course, who would come and graze right near the window), but also close enough to town to be able to enjoy all of the restaurants and shopping. We were pleased with the close proximity to RMNP - we were able to go hiking every day and brought back so many beautiful pics and unforgettable memories. The home is immaculate and comfortable - the hot tub is the icing on the cake! Our kids said this was their "best vacation"! We hope to be back.

FANTASTIC

Loved this place. Incredible layout and decorated beautifully. The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking. Very convenient to get to the hikes in Rocky Mountain and very close to downtown Estes. In my opinion, a perfect location. We will definitely be back.

PERFECT STAY

  • 5 of 5
Staying at the Moose Mountain Lodge was a very positive experience. Randy and Mitzi were very easy to work with and very flexible. Everything from booking to check out went very smoothly and we didn't have any questions as all the instructions were clearly emailed to us prior to arrival. When we arrived the cabin was very clean and charming. You can tell that Randy and Mitzi go to great lengths to keep their cabin clean and inviting and that didn't go unnoticed. We had six of us staying at the cabin and we fit very comfortably. We could have easily fit another couple. The hot tub was a great way to enjoy the views! A complimentary bottle of wine was a great addition to the hot tub and it was also great to have a washer and dryer on hand! The cabin was close enough to town, but secluded enough to feel like we were staying at our own mountain home!

COZY & CLEAN

Cozy & Clean
  • 5 of 5
My family and I decided to celebrate my folks 50th anniversary by taking them on a trip to Estes. We have rented other houses before, but never in the Estes Park area. We had 6 adults in our group and the 4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms was the perfect amount of space for us all. There were 4 deer in the yard upon our arrival and the cabin itself was immaculate! My Mom and Dad thought the cabin was brand new but after talking to Randy & Mitzi we later found out that they built it in 2000! Just shows how well they take care of their property! Everything we needed was close at hand...we did go to the store to get more papertowels and toilet paper but the nice thing was that the Safeway store was only 2 miles down the road. Randy & Mitzi were very helpful when it came to giving us ideas of things to see in the area. The little stone church just south on hwy 7 was beautiful and so was the drive! So if you are looking for something that is conveniently located to downtown Estes and RMNP, cozy, clean and wonderful owners then look no farther...THIS IS IT!!
Thank you Randy & Mitzi!

QUIET, CLEAN, 5 STAR LOG CABIN LODGE ,

  • 5 of 5
I was very impressed with how well thought out this home was for small and big groups. We have rented 4 vacation homes to date from HomeAway and this by far was the standout.
The Old Fashioned Non Electronic Battleship Game along with other board games sat on the kitchen table the whole stay and I had to end up investing in one for the kids on the return trip home.We slowed down and really enjoyed the surroundings. This is truly a place to escape, enjoy the quiet, miss the crowds, and rediscover yourself or your family. Randy and Mitzi were very gracious hosts and do have that "Midwest Pride" in how they represent the property and themselves. Everything here was top notch, from the linens, pillows, mattresses, bottle of wine on arrival, everything worked which we have found isnt always true at all vacation homes, the hot tub was new and worked as described 104 degrees hot!!!. We really enjoyed the stars and sunsets while sitting in the tub at night. Deer and Elk greated us each morning and the Elk returned every afternoon in different spots. You are close enough to Rocky Mountain National Forest that you can spend a day in the winter months at the Sledding hill inside the park and then head down to Estes or come back to the lodge to each lunch and head back up for the afternoon. We look forward to coming back in the Summer to enjoy the warm weather visit. In addition as promosed, we recieved our deposit back promptly 1 week after our stay. Truly 5 Star Stay..

BREATHTAKING VIEWS AND BEAUTIFUL CABIN!!!

  • 5 of 5
Upon our arrival, there were several elk in the front yard. This cabin was amazing!! The pictures don't do this property justice. Everything you need to be comfortable. Well stocked kitchen with all the utensils you will need for cooking. From the views, to the beautifully decorated rooms. Make sure to sit in jacuzzi tub-the view, the wildlife bring such a sense of peace and how amazing life is! Then cozy up by the fireplace to end your day. The owners are more than accommodating. The worked with us on very short notice to rent the cabin for a much needed romantic get away for my wife and I. Very peaceful. Mountain views at sunrise were hues of pinks, purples, and blues. Sunsets were brilliant colors! Various wildlife everyday just outside the window of the cabin. This property was minutes away from everything Estes Park and RMNP has to offer. Thank you Randy and Mitzi for sharing your amazing home. We look forward to staying again soon.
