Rafting and Canyoning:
RAFTING - Maximum adventure and diversion for everyone. Hop on a raft and enjoy the cool waters of the Yaque del Norte River, the largest in the Caribbean. In the company of professional guides, you will go through canyons and rapids to the feel of an adrenaline rush. You will discover places unknown to most. Action, nature, a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. It includes basic training and the essential equipment: A wetsuit - Life saver- Boots - Protective helmet. Breakfast, a snack and lunch are also included. In order to be eligible for the raft ride, you must know how to swim, be over 14 years old and in perfect health and physical condition
CANYONING - This exciting but risk-free experience begins in the headwaters of the Jimenoa River, the main source of the Yaque del Norte. You descend through canyons to the Jimenoa Falls, enjoying the crystalline and cool water in natural pools.
Waterfalls & Mountain Bikes:
WATERFALLS - Let us take you by horse, jeep or Quad-Runner to Baiguate and Jimenoa, two of the main waterfalls in our country. Your visit will include a refreshing dip, a spectacular view, an easy walk down a path bordered by exuberant vegetation, wild fruit and palm trees. You will see and hear colorful and melodious birds. Don't miss the chance to encounter these two fountains of life in our mountains.
MOUNTAIN BIKE - Get to know the Jarabacoa Valley by mountain bike. Choose from four routes with different degrees of difficulty:
BAIGUATE Falls- Degree of difficulty: 2. (for the whole family) Distance: 14.5 kilometers Approx. time: 2 hours.
JIMENOA FALLS- Degree of difficulty: 2. Distance: 15.0 kilometers. Approx. time: 2 hours.
BOTH FALLS- Degree of difficulty: 3. Distance: 29.5 kilometers. Approx. time: 3.5 hours.
EXPERT ROUTE- Degree of difficulty: 4. This is designed for well-prepared, regular mountain bikers.
Pico Duarte & Trekking:
Duarte Peak, 3,087 meters above sea level, is the tallest point in the Antilles. Join us for 3, 4 or 5-day excursions, by foot or by mule to the roof of the Caribbean. You will go from the tropical forest to the pine forests of the J. Armando Bermúdez National Park, going up paths through thousands of ferns. You will see cotorra, papagayo or jilguero and other exotic birds. You will cross rivers and crystal streams, enjoying the spectacular view of three mountains, Duarte Peak, La Pelona and La Rusilla, all of which top out at over 3,000 meters. You will see the source of the Yaque del Norte River and the Tetero Valley, at an altitude of over 2,000 meters and the most preserved forests on the island. It will be an unforgettable adventure.
