Tucked away on a quaint small street near the Trevi Fountain, Rome's historic sites are at your doorstep. The Archetto apartment has a bright top-floor position, roominess and good layout. It has both a sunny terrace plus a small balcony. There is an elevator.
Just a 2-minute walk to the famous Trevi Fountain you'll be pleased to find a real Roman neighborhood with bakeries, cafes, fresh fruit and vegetable stands, pizzerie, geletaria's and handy access to public transportation.
The apartment is located on the top floor of a small building on a narrow side-street,
With a coveted, sunny top-floor position the Archetto apartment delights with charm and comfort. The roomy living room is furnished with a queen size sofa bed, a single folding hassock bed. It has a large window overlooking the street, five floors below. The room's decor inspiration is the fresco painting over the sofa, painted in a bouquet of springtime colors. Bookshelves along the opposite wall hold light reading material, guidebooks, a few English language DVD's, remote controls, stereo, and flat screen TV. An upholstered chair, carved wooden armchair and coffee table complete the room. It's the perfect spot to while away an afternoon reading, napping on the sofa or enjoying cocktails before heading out to the bounty of wonderful restaurants that Rome has to offer.
Opening onto the living room is the dining area which seats four. It has French doors two steps up leading out to a Juliette balcony, also overlooking the street down below.
The entry area has an antique bureau, good for clothing storage for guests using the sofa bed, a handy coat rack, and a leather campaign chair, providing a cozy den-like reading area.
The bedroom and kitchen are towards the back of the apartment and are also accessed off the entryway. The bedroom has interior facing windows, it overlooks the backs of other buildings across the way, a huge bonus in the bustling center of Rome. It is a very quiet bedroom, although with the windows open you

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2010
Famous Trevi Fountain area, in the heart of Rome's historic center.
The area abounds with historic sites, restaurants, interesting shops.
The Archetto apartment was wonderful – we absolutely loved the location, could not have picked a better spot – as you know, everything was so close. It was so nice to be able to quickly walk to the Trevi fountain at 6 a.m. To enjoy it without all the summer tourists! Also loved having the little restaurant beneath us, I think we went there nearly every day, if not for a meal, then for a drink or dessert on our way home.
The accommodation was very spacious, the sofabed was big, and having a large dining room table was great to spread out maps and computer, etc. My only comment was that there was a little side table in the bedroom that had a leg taped together, so it was not very sturdy. Also, there was a melted ice cream/popsicle treat left in the freezer in the kitchen fridge. So nothing major at all.
We appreciated all the instructions from you, and the literature left in the apartment by previous guests, and would not hesitate to rent from your company again.
Archetto was perfect for our recent visit. We spent nearly three weeks in Rome, and found the apartment ideally suited to our comfort and convenience. The location is great, very close to the Trevi Fountain; we walked to most of the major tourist sites easily, and local markets and restaurants abound nearby. The apartment itself is comfortably and tastefully decorated, and the bedroom (located away from the street) was quiet and the bed very comfortable. The kitchen, while small, was more than adequate. Rosie, our greeter, could not have been more gracious and helpful in getting us oriented and settled. We appreciated the responsiveness of Italy Perfect in making all of the arrangements, and found their suggestions (car service, restaurants, sites) universally helpful. We can happily recommend this property for a Roman holiday.
1)Accommodations: Were EXCELLENT. Rooms looked exactly as pictured in photos on website & description was also thorough and complete. Kitchen: Better equipped than expected. Had ALL necessary items needed for cooking. DETAIL to small items ie: night light on floor in bedroom NEXT to one step, leading to bathroom. A person could very easily forget about this step and FALL, Very important , they thought of this.
Deck, in rear of apt., off of kitchen was GREAT! We used it every morning for breakfast an most night for dinner. THIS included bringing take out in from the restaurant downstairs, on first floor. Food was really good and surprisingly inexpensive, large variety also.
OUR GREETER: was prompt, efficient and thorough.
2)Surrounding Area: Also as promised(YOU MUST TAKE TIME TO READ ALL the descriptions about each apt., surrounding areas and suggestions and you will NOT be disappointed. We wanted to be central as possible. The street was very quiet and about 3 blocks from the Trevi Fountain. Within walking distance of all major sightseeing places, except for The Vatican-yes, we could have walked it, but wanted to save our energy for the inside,,
3)TIPS: Bring Back Packs, even if you don't normally use them, they are very good for hauling your groceries back, since they can be bulky and heavy.
4) Italy Perfect is a wonderful company, I was lucky to find them. Pat & Lisa always answered within one day or less, EVEN when they were in Italy! You can't beat that. I am almost 70 and have traveled extensively all over the world. I usually plan the trips myself. Do all the research on where to stay, what to see, where to eat, trains etc. BUT PLEASE take the time to READ ALL of the suggestions, Pat & Lisa have taken the time to give you on all of what I just mentioned. They are better than most travel agents you
might choose to use.
Since this was my first major trip, since retiring, we stayed in Italy over 3wks, so Pat & Lisa saved me a considerable amount of time(my cousin was working, so all work was left to me. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND Italy Perfect to anyone.
This apartment is in a perfect location close to the fountain of Trevi and the Spanish steps. There are restaurants and shops abound all within walking distance. I recommend the pasta place right next door to the apartment for great food and wine at very reasonable prices.
The apartment itself is quaint and bright and hosted our family of 4 plus baby perfectly.
The greeter/host was very accommodating and friendly.
Italy Perfect was very organized and professional to deal with.
All in all - I feel lucky to have booked that apartment and would recommend it to everyone.
My wife and I decided to take an impromptu trip to Rome just before Christmas, it turned out to be the ideal time to visit, we had Rome to ourselves!! Though there were many tourists about we did not have to experience the large crowds and lines that typically happen during the summer months.
The apartment is exactly as advertised, a very spacious, modern, clean apartment in an ideal location, only a few minutes walking distance from all the main tourist attractions. The apartment is located on a quiet street, you will not hear anything outside so will be guaranteed a good nights sleep. For those who like to cook at home, the apartment is equipped with everything you need to make your favorite dishes. You will also be happy to hear that there is an excellent value restaurant next door with many menu options on offer. We were sorry that we had not tried it earlier in our stay (far away hills are green they say !!). Archetto also has an excellent internet connection, we were getting up to 15mb to 20mb download speeds, with 1-2 mb upload speeds. It was ideal for keeping in touch with our kids and family at home in Ireland over Skype and Facetime.
We found the staff at Italy Perfect very easy to work with. Pat (located in the US) and Rosie (greeter in rome) are very professional and were very prompt in answering any queries we had. We also briefly got to meet the owner who seemed to be a very nice gentleman and eager to engage with us.
The only issue we encountered was that the heating did not work correctly on auto mode, and so had to operate manually. Actually the owner was trying to address this before we arrived and no doubt has been fixed since. It only took a few minutes for the place to heat up so not a big deal. Heating is only required in late December and January months I believe.
Overall we had an excellent stay at Archetto and would highly recommend it to others considering visiting Rome
My husband, granddaughter and I returned from our week in Rome on Saturday and wanted to tell you how much we appreciated your services and how much we enjoyed staying in the Archetto apartment.
We very much appreciate your well organized business and prompt, unbureaucratic responses to our questions. The location was terrific despite the throngs of people at the Trevi Fountain. And the apartment was delightful.
The greeter was delightful and prompt, as was Stefano's car service. You and your colleagues made our vacation very special.
The week in Rome opened our 15 year old granddaughter's eyes to another world -- from ancient Rome to modern gelato, from baroque churches and statues to tiramisu. What a wonderful experience it was for all three of us.
We were completely happy with our stay at Archetto. Often, one has a slightly disappointed feeling when you finally get to see the place you have seen photos of on line - Not so with this apartment! It was exactly as pictured and frankly, even more charming in person. Everything is in great condition and the decor is just lovely. Thoughtful photos of Rome on the walls, several guide books, and spacious rooms with comfortable furniture. We were greatful for the washing machine and the kitchen facilities. The area is terrific - so close to the Pantheon. The only disappointing (which has nothing to do with the apartment) thing is that the Trevi Fountain is being repaired and will be without water and under construction for the next 12 months. We found many, many great restuaurants over near the Piazza Navona, not on the Piazza proper, but off the beaten track a bit. We used the car service of Stephano - Marco actually picked us up and was beyond kind. Our son had a bloody nose and he reclined the seat for him, gave us all water, including a frozen bottle to help with the bloody nose. He called our greater who was there the moment we arrived at the apartment to show us everything. This place has it all, location, decor, lovely building which is very quiet and well kept, and the balcony. One can feel a bit like a local for at least a few days.
