Fabulous Vacation at Linda and Michael's condo!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four just returned from an awesome trip to Costa Rica. I did a lot of research to find a condo that would suit our needs. Linda and Michael's condo was exceptional. It was not only beautiful, but it was very comfortable with all the amenities that you would need. It was also located in the perfect location, close to town and on the property of a beautiful boutique hotel which had a pool, restaurant and spa. We were able to cook, they had a washer/dryer, 3 balconies overlooking the beautiful resort and a gorgeous view of sunsets over the pacific ocean! The air conditioning was amazing considering Costa Rica is quite hot. They had a DVD player that we used to watch movies, and they also have HBO which is in English. In addition the condo has wifi, which allowed us to use our computers, ipads, etc. What is even more special is that the condo comes with a concierge named Alex, who helped us book our excursions, and did whatever else we needed to do. He recommended restaurants, and helped us to print out our boarding passes the day before we left. He's a really great guy, and it made our vacation simple and seamless! Going to Manuel Antonio was the best decision that we made. I researched Costa Rica for several months because there are so many places that you can visit and do things, but I feel that Manuel Antonio, has everything all in one place. They have beautiful beaches, rainforests, and lots of awesome excursions. We went ziplining through the canopy, scuba diving, hiking in Manuel Antonio park and saw all sorts of animals, ATV tours and a Jetski tour, but there is much more. What's nice about this area is that all these excursions are close by, whereas many other parts of Costa Rica you have to drive quite a distance to get to them. Our family rented a car, and it was easy to get from the airport in San Jose to Manuel Antonio that way. I had some reservations about driving, but it was not a problem and all the roads were paved and well marked. The restaurants in Manuel Antonio were quite good and all had magnificent views of the pacific. Our last day was a Friday and they have a great farmer's market in Quepos (just a few miles away). I highly recommend you do that, as it was the highlight of our trip. Just being with the locals and seeing what fabulous produce that they have was so much fun. We absolutely loved our trip, and plan to go back again someday. You can't go wrong here.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for this review! You really described why we love our condo and the location so much!! And of course Alex, our rep, who is amazing! We are also thrilled that you enjoyed the country, its people and the vast amounts of activities you can do - as well of course as just hang by the pool or gorgeous beaches and relax! There is a telephone in the restaurant by the pool that all our guests can use to call the US and Europe - no charge - and you just dial the number like you were in the US - and computer and printer to print your boarding passes - so you know for the next time. Hope you will come back. Pura Vida! Linda and Michael Silbert

Great Place For Families

  • 5 of 5

My family visits Costa Rica frequently, mostly staying in Tamarindo, but we decided to take a quick side trip down to Manuel Antonio and Dominical. This was a great trip, and this condo was perfect for our short visit. We had plenty of room for our family of four, and this place could easily accommodate larger families or groups. In fact, we spent most of our time hanging out in the spacious master suite, which has a very comfortable sofa (perfect for late night reading). The master suite showers are massive --- perhaps the largest shower I've seen in Costa Rica! Although we didn't cook while there, the kitchen was very clean and had everything you need to prepare a meal and serve it on the nearby DR table. The LR furnishings are a little small for the size of the condo, but with such a short stay (and plenty of outdoor activities waiting for us), we spent very little time in the kitchen and living areas. We didn't make it to the Shana's nearby pool area because we enjoyed spending our quiet time on the balcony, listening to the sounds of the jungle and approaching rainstorm. The patio furniture was perfect for a relaxing afternoon overlooking paradise!

My only two concerns were that (1.) there wasn't a working elevator, so we had to carry our luggage down (and later up) a flight of stairs and (2.) there was no water in any of the condo units when we arrived. Thankfully, when Alex met us to check in, he recognized the issue before we did --- Shana was pulling too much water from the condo reservoir --- and took action with Shana to get it resolved ASAP. The water was running by morning, and we had zero issues for the remainder of our stay. After spending time in Costa Rica, I've learned that things will break, internet / electricity may turn off, etc., so it's always good to have someone accessible to help in these situations. Alex was extremely beneficial, since other condo guests were facing a similar issue and didn't know who to contact. It's a good example of "it's not what you know, but who you know!"

Finally, Linda was extremely nice and very easy to work with. Booking was easy, and she made sure that Alex was available to meet us, even when we arrived six hours late, due to a flight delay (Pura Vida!). I look forward to staying here again and would recommend this condo to others looking to visit the Manuel Antonio area.

Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 3 nights in this condo with our 4 children. The condo was beautiful and spacious and Alex and

Annie (the contacts there in MA) were so helpful. They set up tours for us and gave us great advice. The condo is in an ideal location. Right next to the park and walking distance to Playa Biesanz. We rented a kayak there one morning and went snorkeling (dry season). Lots of fish and we were the only ones there. Our last night at the condo we had howler monkeys in the tree right next to the balcony. Walking to the beach the next morning we saw squirrel monkeys and white-faced monkeys. We saw more monkeys around the condo then we did in MA! The condo also has access to the hotel pool which was beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better place. I would highly recommend this condo!!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your simple and accurate review. Our condo is in a wonderful location - close enough to everything and far enough away to allow for privacy. It is 1 1/2 miles to the National Park and Manuel Antonio beaches (there are also beaches 5, 10, 15 minute walks away that are lovely and secluded), and 2 miles from the town of Quepos. Wonderful restaurants and nightlife just far enough that you don't hear the live music when you return to the condo at night. I am thrilled that Alex could help you with planning activities. Sounds like you had all your needs met with is our goal. Pura Vida, Linda and Michael Silbert
