Luxury and comfort

Date of Stay: June 2009
My family of 2 adults and 3 children (aged 7, 15 and 17) stayed in this property in June 2009. We were mainly in the top unit listed on this site but there is a slightly smaller equally nice unit on the ground floor which we also occupied for 4 days while another family had the top unit.
The property exceeded our expectations in every way. It was super clean, equipped with guide books and there was a computer in the upstairs unit. The computer room had a futon I think although we didnt use it. The photos do not do justice to the master bedroom and bathroom. The beds were most comfortable and everything was of the highest standard. The feeling was more of staying in someones home than in a rental. There were 2 small balconies to enjoy the sun (when it shone!) and a small garden where the children from units met up!.
The owner was on hand even coming over with chopping boards when I mentioned that there were none in the upstairs unit.
I would certainly recommend this unit to a friend and would also advise them to have a car (with GPS for driving around Boston). Be sure not to park in front of a fire hydrant if you are European and dont know this! You will be towed. There is room for 2 cars in the driveway which is shared by both units. We didnt try the bus into Boston though there was a bus stop nearby. Driving worked fine for us. Harvard is a very short drive and so is Brookline with the JFK house etc. There seemed to be stair gates in the closets if needed but I would have thought that the stairs in the upstairs unit a worry if there were small children. I am sure that Rosanna would give unbiased advice about this.
If you want to walk around Newton print out some google maps before you go as it is a maze! Rosannas recommendations are excellent and reliable. Enjoy!
