Located in the center of the top of the horse-shoe shape of the island, you can turn right or left and hit the water in about 5 blocks. Our vintage (1890's) home has been updated, remodeled and is ready for your family group to visit. The short walk to town provides you with access to public beaches, shopping, groceries and fine dining not to mention coffee shops loaded with goodies for your epicurean delight.
5 bedrooms, +1 extra large TV room with queen bed and queen sofa bed, 2 gas fireplaces and multiple gathering areas, as well as the deluxe appointments, comfortable and plentiful seating and well equipped kitchen provide ample space for visiting, cooking gourmet meals and relaxation.
Two stories, 1 full, 2 three-quarter, and one half bath make this spacious vacation rental comfortable for many! Three top story bedrooms share a bathroom with shower and are furnished with double beds, and one room has an additional single bed for flexibilty. Main floor bedrooms boast queen beds, one room with an en-suite half bath and the largest suite-sized room has a queen bed, large bathroom with shower, a seating area, television and queen sized sofa bed.
Books and videos line the shelves on multiple floors so you can make the most of any weather, anytime. Or enjoy a game of frisbee golf on the spacious, 2 acre, park-like grounds. Paradise awaits!

First, the logistics...We had 8 adults and 7 kids under the age of 6. Not easy to manage but we had beds for all which was great. We were able to keep the babies isolated so they could nap and the kids had tons of room to play outside. The firepit was great for the adults in the evening to get a break.
Next, the location: located walking distance to the town was great. The IGA and other restaurants provided all we needed and the location near the small airport provided a great place to visit for the kids. We were a 15 drive from anything on the island worth visiting such as Moran State Park (fresh water lake with a beach and play area), golf (the course isn't much but still fun round), Eastsound as mentioned above and the water itself.
Finally the house and our host: Both were exactly what we needed. The house was cleaned professionally before our arrival and everything we needed (Wifi, rules of the house, etc) were clearly outlined. The BBQ was excellent as was the frisbee golf course and the tire swings. Some of the beds were 'soft' as per the reviews of my friends but it's an old house...what can you expect? Lots of room and a ton of fun.

This house is a classic old-school farmhouse with high ceilings on the main floor and bedrooms tucked under the eaves on the second story, so cozy. The minute I walked in I felt instantly at home. My husband and I stayed here with another family that included two small and delightfully boisterous boys, along with several other friends coming and going for meals, movie night and general hang-out time. Because of the many gathering spaces, we never felt in the least crowded and always had options for joining in the action or not, as the mood struck. Although we didn't need all the sleeping areas for this visit, they are well set up to be very flexible for a larger group. The kitchen includes just about everything you might need to provide any size meal. Since we visited in winter, we didn't get to use the yard, but it looks like a paradise for kids, with tons of tire swings, space to run and a frisbee golf course. This would be a great place to stay for a family reunion or wedding, so homey and comfortable!
This place isn't fancy, but it was perfect for our family! My family of 5 rented for several days and were joined by 5 other family members, and we had more than enough room. The photos don't do it justice. We were pleasantly surprised to find tire swings in the huge back/side yard (which my kids loved!). The yard was private and safe for the kids to run around in, and provided ample space for family whiffle-ball baseball and kickball games. The house has several sections to it, so kids had plenty of space to play their games in one room while allowing a quiet reading place by the fire in the front room. Tons of movies, nice owners, quiet neighbors since it's bordered by a church (a parishioner even came over to jump start our car Sunday morning). The location was also perfect-- close enough to town to walk, but far enough away to be out of the bustle and to give us space. It also backs up to a school with a playground, so just one more bonus for us. If you're looking for silk sheets and all new fancy construction, this isn't your place-- but if you're like us and you want an affordable spot with a great location and tons of space for a large group, this place can't be beat. One of our best vacations!

To confirm reservation: $400 refundable deposit + 1/2 rental fees payable by check & accompanied by a signed rental contract. Balance is due 14 days (2 weeks) prior to occupancy. No refunds for cancellations unless we are able to rebook the the dates. Pet fees of $25 per pet (2 max) per night. In addition to rental fees, there is a $250 cleaning charge & 10.1% sales tax.
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (USD) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
