This three-level log cabin is extremely secluded. Interior walls are finished with tongue and groove native Knotty Pine, and equipped with a gas log fireplace, ceiling fans, and central air conditioning and heat for your comfort. There’s also a large laundry room with a washer and dryer for your convenience.
Upon entering our cabin, you will find yourself in the family room. Get ready to snuggle up on the sofa or recliners in front of the gas log fireplace. The family room has a 46 inch High Definition Television, Direct TV, and a DVD/CD player with a variety of DVDs. This entire second level has solid Oak hardwood floors, with Berber carpet in the King Master bedroom, two leather chairs in a sitting area with a 36 inch TV and DVD/CD player.
The ground floor, or the basement as it’s called, is finished with laminate wood floors and tongue and groove pine paneling. We have a game room with a NEW SLATE POOL TABLE AND 37” FLAT PANEL PLASMA TV along with the third bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom.
The 400 square foot loft, on the third floor, has a beautiful, solid oak, king size bedroom set with a thick mattress and your own private full bathroom. There’s also two comfortable recliners for reading, viewing another 36 inch television with DVD/CD player, or looking outside the huge loft windows. The loft is truly a getaway within a getaway.
The kitchen has beautiful oak cabinets and all new modern stainless steel appliances, including an electric glass top stove, microwave, toaster over, coffee maker, and dishwasher. All cookware, dinnerware, and utensils are provided. There is a gas barbecue grill on the deck. Also on the deck are 4 rocking chairs and a hot tub to soak up all the scenery.
Our Cabin is ideally located within an hour’s drive of ski resorts, white water rafting, hot springs and all major attractions in the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains, including The Blue Ridge Parkway 30 minutes away. The Biltmore Estate is 40 minutes away and Asheville is 30 minutes away. Blowing Rock, Boone, Grandfather Mountain and Banner Elk are about an hour away. The Mount Mitchell Golf and Country Club is 30 minutes away, voted top 10 in North Carolina and rated 4½ stars by Golf Digest, as is the Blue Ridge Parkway on the way to Mount Mitchell State Park, which is the highest elevation East of the Mississippi River, 6684 feet. Skiing at Wolf Laurel is also 30 minutes away.
Discover the nearby towns overflowing with local crafts, Southern hospitality and rich history, along with the Penland School of Art. Yancey County is filled with more artists per capita than any other location in the nation. Galleries and numerous private studios are abundant.
